[edit] Personality

Crocketts is a cool and calm man except where Pegasus' plans are concerned, as Pegasus' goal is of great importance to him. He can also play dumb if the situation calls for it, as seen during his encounter with Seto Kaiba. He is also loyal to his master, and later on the Tenma brothers.

[edit] Biography

Crocketts is in a tight situation.

[edit] Before Duelist Kingdom

Crocketts is only seen in the flashback of Episode 85, where he asks Pegasus to stop the production of the Egyptian God Cards as it resulted in the death of his other men. Pegasus refuses, as releasing those cards would mean a great influence for the company. He then says he will paint the cards himself.

[edit] Duelist Kingdom

During the the tournament, Crocketts often informs Pegasus of events such as Mokuba's escape. When Kaiba arrives at Pegasus' castle, he greets him and escorts him as the former demands answers. He keeps dodging Kaiba's questions until he tells the boy he has a room prepared for him, to which Kaiba responds with his briefcase. Saruwatari points a gun at Kaiba, who then also points a gun at Crocketts. Kaiba says that Saruwatari can use a gun only because of Kaiba Corporation's special employee training, but he'll demonstrate how to use the weapon. Crocketts tells him to drop his gun. Both men agree to Kaiba's demands, and Crocketts is carried inside as a hostage, his head, while still attached to his neck, held tightly within Kaiba's briefcase. Even with his life at stake, he hesitates mentioning Mokuba, as it would mean the downfall of Pegasus' plan. He begs Pegasus to save him, who then talks to Kaiba through a screen, commenting on his rude behavior. The two make a deal and Crocketts is released.

When Yugi and his friends make their way into the castle, Crocketts welcomes them, now with a plaster on his face. After Pegasus' and Kaiba's duel, he guides everyone into the dining hall. He tells everyone to take a seat. The group's attention is caught by the portraits of a beautiful girl and Shadi instead. He explains Pegasus painted those portraits himself, but not to expect his employer to discuss the matter further, as he does not like to do so. Then he mentions they've appreciated art enough, the soup is getting cold. After everyone eats themselves full, he guides them to the bedrooms.

Crocketts is the MC for the semi-final matches, making sure every participant has the required entry cards - Glory of the King's Left Hand or Glory of the King's Right Hand. Even though he was bitter when Pegasus was defeated at Yugi's hands, he could not do anything about it. After Pegasus tells his story about his Millennium Eye, he hands over the prize money to Yugi, along with Kaiba's Duel Disk prototypes. In the anime, he also gives Yugi the Ties of Friendship card at Pegasus' request. He explains Pegasus' real goal, which was obtaining Kaiba Corporation in order to bring Cyndia's card to life with the power of the Solid Vision System. As he is muttering how Pegasus was just chasing the illusion of his lost lover, he takes his leave.

[edit] Doma

Crocketts makes a reappearance when Pegasus asks Yugi and his friends to come to America. He is their guide at the airport and in San Fransisco.

[edit] The Pyramid of Light

He appears briefly in the movie. He puts the bodies of Anzu, Honda and Jonouchi in one place after they land with the helicopter. He is seen standing behind everyone after the group makes their escape from the dome, watching Anubis' demise.

[edit] Yu-Gi-Oh! R

When Yakou Tenma discovers the bloody duel table with Cyndia's card on it, Crocketts says that Yugi was the one who defeated Pegasus.

Later in the Kaiba Corporation building, he sets up the duel for Yakou (who is actually Gekkou Tenma being under his brother's control) and Yugi in a separate room. After Yugi's opponent negates Ra's summon, he applauds his master's skill and thinks Yugi cannot turn the match around. When Yugi is about to deal the final blow to Gekkou, Crocketts halts the duel and explains that Gekkou's condition to fight has disappeared, and that the victory is Yugi's.

In the final chapter of the manga, he is standing next to Richie Merced and Depre Scott, helping the latter to stand.

[edit] Other Appearances

Crocketts also appears in some of the video games. One of them is Yu-Gi-Oh! Dungeon Dice Monsters, where he can be fought against. The other is Yu-Gi-Oh! Sugoroku's Sugoroku, in which he can be seen on the Toon World Map, standing by the door with Saruwatari.

[edit] Trivia

  • In the anime, Crocketts has grey hair. In the movie, as well as the games, he has brown hair.
