[edit] Momoe Hamaguchi and Junko Makita

Junko and Momoe are two female Obelisk Blue students and the best friends of Asuka Tenjouin. In the second season, they were one of the few Obelisk Blue students who escaped being converted to the Society of Light. They have rarely been seen to duel on the show: one of the only times was against a Pro Duelist named Sommelier Parker. They were faring badly until Asuka showed up and saved them. In Season 4, they both participate in a tag team duel tournament with special rules, each to a different team. Both end up being defeated by the Rei Saotome and Tyranno Kenzan pair. Junko and Momoe are defeated offscreen by Mr. T (Trueman). No further insight into their deck themes has been provided by either of these duels.

[edit] Chosaku & Shoji Manjoume

Chosaku is Jun Manjoume's eldest brother, whilst Shoji is the middle brother of the family. While Chosaku is at the top of the political world, his brother Shoji is at the top of the financial world. They are shown to be harsh on Manjoume, constantly lecturing him on the importance of living up to family expectations.

Following Manjoume's return from North School Academy (episodes 25 and 26), they arrange for his interschool duel against Judai to be broadcast nationwide to show his strength, even going so far as to purchase a bag of cards to secure his victory (although he ended up not using them). However, despite this, he still loses- his brothers leave disappointed, although not after attempting to lecture him on his loss (and being interrupted by Judai).

Their next appearance is in episode 35, where his brothers are attempting to buy the Academy. With Kaiba having stated that they could only complete the purchase if they defeated a duelist at the school, Manjoume is chosen to duel Chosaku. Despite the handicap on the duel (Manjoume is only allowed to use monsters with less than 500 attack points, whereas Chosaku has a high-attack point Rare Dragon deck), Manjoume wins. This time, Chosaku (at least) is a lot more impressed with how much he has grown up as Shoji helps him down from the dueling stage and Manjoume leads the crowd in his chant.

[edit] Labyrinth Brothers

When Judai Yuki and Sho Marufuji were going to expelled from Duel Academy, they got the option to fight in a tag duel to stay there. The Labyrinth Brothers were their opponents. They ultimately lose, and Judai and Sho stay at Duel Academia. The brothers use the same Gate Guardian Deck that they used in the original Yu-Gi-Oh!

[edit] Mitsuru Ayanokouji

He was head of the Tennis Club. After hitting Chronos in the eye with a tennis ball, Judai was given a punishment by Ayanokouji. He then saw Judai talking to Asuka later on which made him jealous, and he dueled Judai for her affections and lost. His deck is a Tennis Deck.

[edit] SAL (Super Animal Learning)

SAL escapes a facility where the were testing him. He then takes Junko as a hostage and orders Judai to duel him. In the end, Judai defeated him and with some help from Daitokuji, he was set free from the facility. In Season 2, he helped point Judai back in the direction of Duel Academy to re-challenge Edo Phoenix. His deck is a Monkey Deck.

[edit] Kumazou Maeda

Kumazou is Hayato Maeda's father, and he runs a whiskey company. He came to Duel Academia because he thought Hayato was wasting his time there, but Judai convinced him and Samejima to agree to a duel between Kumazou and Hayato. If Kumazou won, Hayato was to leave Duel Academy- but if Hayato won, he would be allowed to stay. Kumazou ended up losing the duel and he learned that his son had made friends at Duel Academia. He runs a Drunken Deck with Flipping the Table as his main card.

[edit] Taira Taizan

Taizan is a former Obelisk Blue student who could never draw the cards he wanted in his duel. One day he left Duel Academy to wonder in the jungle and train his card-drawing skills. In season 2, he entered the Genex Tournament and dueled against the Pro League Duelist Mattimatica.
