[edit] Personality
Ryuichi Fuha is extremely smug, due to the unbelievable luck which follows him wherever he goes. He feels no need to put effort into anything as he knows that his luck will see him through any eventuality. He speaks roughly and sarcastically, showing no respect even to his teachers. It is his belief that he was born superior to others and that nobody can come close to imitating or defeating his luck. Because of this, he is easily bored and is interested when Seto Kaiba claims that he can find a gamer worthy of his time.
[edit] Appearances
[edit] The Fourth Game Master
Ryuichi is introduced as he defeats a opponent at the 'electric roulette' in the Game de Get Show, gaining his eighth consecutive victory despite the luck-based nature of the game. He is transferred to Yugi's class of Domino High School and immediately disrespects the teacher. As his new classmates gather around him, he explains that there is no tactic to his luck; he was simply born strong, just like 'lions are born lions'. Their next teacher Ms. Chono springs out a surprise test on the class and even though Fuha knows what to revise he deliberately fails the test.
On the way home from school Fuha is targeted by Miho Nosaka who believes they are highly compatible despite Fuha's statement that he is not interested in getting a girlfriend. To change the subject, he invites Yugi, Katsuya Jonouchi, Anzu Mazaki, Hiroto Honda and Miho to eat at a nearby Chinese restaurant. As soon as he enters the restaurant, he told that he is the 10,000th customer since the restaurant's opening and all his food and drink will be free. After eating, Fuha plays a game with Yugi to see who can win a local tombola. Yugi wins a consolation prize (a tissue) whilst Fuha gets the gold ball and wins a trip to Italy. As punishment for losing, Yugi must be Fuha's slave.
Jonouchi stares Fuha down and Honda silently eggs him on, but it turns out that Jonouchi's apparent scowl was actually a look of admiration and he in fact wants to become Fuha's student to learn the ways of luck. The extraordinarily lucky gamer just laughs at him and leaves. Some small children chase after him to get his signature and are nearly hit by vehicles as they cross a zebra crossing. Fuha doesn't help them for fear of catching their bad luck.
Fuha is picked up by a car and taken to a building owned by Seto Kaiba. Seto reveals that Ryuichi Fuha is his second Game Master and that Fuha transfered to Domino High School on his instructions. The Kaiba Corporation CEO explains that Yugi has 'another face', which is the face that he wants Fuha to defeat. Not at all fazed, Fuha correctly guesses the password for the lock of a model revolver on the wall. He fills five of the six chambers and spins the cylinder, then pulls the trigger with the gun to his head. The chamber was empty. Since the sponsor of the Game de Get Show is a part of Kaiba Corporation, Seto sets up an organized match for Fuha to fight a game with Yugi that will test his skills.
Fuha is making use of his victory against Yugi in the tombola by playing a cruel game of snooker where the aim is to hit the opponent with the balls. Yugi's friends arrive and Jonouchi clambers onto the snooker table to attack Fuha but the table breaks and he falls over. Honda grabs a broom and swings in but it hits the light on the ceiling and the light falls on him.
Before long it's time for the Game de Get Show and Jonouchi enters under Yugi's name. He plays a card-matching game called 'electric concentration' against Fuha. Fuha guesses right the first time and thus is allowed to take his turn again and again, and in each round Jonouchi receives a mild electric shock. In the end, Jonouchi is defeated. Backstage, Fuha arrives to mock him. He kicks Yugi and knocks him down to the floor. As Yugi lies humiliated, the Millennium Puzzle activates.
Fuha is walking through the darkened studio when he is challenged by Dark Yugi to a game of electric concentration, except with the alternate rule that both players take their turns even if the opposing player won the last round. Dark Yugi consistently chooses the letters I and F on the game board, even though he knows this is not a correct match. Eventually, the breaker blows from all the electric shocks that he is receiving and the backup power turns on. Confident in the location of the cards thanks to the fact that Dark Yugi revealed the card behind the latter F many times, Fuha tries to match G with F.
However, behind F is a Joker card which causes all of his winning combinations to be switched to Yugi. What Fuha had not taken into account was the fact that when the backup electricity came on all the cards switched places. Fuha receives a massive electric shock for losing so many cards and his chair falls apart, leaving him sprawled on the floor.
Next time on the Game de Get Show, Fuha is preparing for his tenth win in a row. He plays the electric roulette and because his opponent only got a 2, all he needs to do is get a number higher than 2. Unfortunately for him, he gets a 1 and his chair explodes again. It appears that his luck has run out.
[edit] Death-T
As Dark Yugi goes on to face Death T-5, the final stage of Death-T, Jonouchi and Miho leave to try and find Honda who was previously lost in Death T-3. They find themselves in a room where there is a large hourglass filling with water; Honda and Sugoroku are trapped inside. The hourglass rises up to the ceiling and Fuha enters the room, along with the Third Game Master, Aileen Rao. Fuha explains the nature of the game as Aileen and Jonouchi are locked into the battle suits: Miho and himself will control the actions of the battle suits using their own control panels and the winner will land enough damage onto their opponent to reduce their opponent's Life Points to zero. Jonouchi and Miho must win the game in order to save Sugoroku and Honda.
Fuha and Miho are shut behind their control panels and the game begins. Fuha begins the assault immediately and Aileen lands many punches on Jonouchi, depleting his Life Points. Miho accidentally pulls off a special move, but the move costs Jonouchi even more Life Points to use. At this point, Fuha activates Aileen's special move: Shippu Bakuretsu Ken. Eventually, Jonouchi loses all of his Life Points. Although he should have lost, Jonouchi realises that he is not fighting alone and rises to his feet. Miho pulls off his special move, Senpukyaku Sanren Patsu and defeats Aileen.
