Shogo Aoyama

Shogo Aoyama (青山翔吾 Aoyama Shōgo), was an anime-only character that appeared in Toei's 1999 Yu-Gi-Oh! Movie.

Shogo is a neighbour of Yugi's, he is a very timid boy who's dream is to become a first rate Duelsit, however, his shy nature overshadows this dream, therefore he finds himself without the courage to duel another player.
In the Movie, he is first seen in an old card shop looking to purchase a booster pack of Duel Monster Cards. However upon his entry to the shop, he is bullied by three local boys who begin to question his worth as a Duelist. Shogo hesitates, but proceeds to buy a pack of cards, that contained the Legendary Rare Card, the Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
The old lady who owns the shop tells him that "The Blue-Eyes White Dragon brings victory, but the Red-Eyes Black Dragon brings not victory but potential, but only to the one with the courage to fight."
