Tyranno Kenzan (ティラノ剣山 Tirano Kenzan), is a Ra Yellow student who scored very well on the Duel Academia entrance exams. He has a passion for dinosaurs, and competes with Sho Marufuji for the title of Judai Yuki's "aniki".

Tyranno Kenzan makes his first appearance near the end of episode 53 in which he has an altercation that nearly turns violent with the temporary principal Cronos at the time. In the beginning of the series, he leads a gang who defeats duelists and steals their duel disks. So far, he had claimed 99 victories, and when he encountered Judai Yuki, it was to be his 100th, until he is defeated by Judai. After this, Kenzan decides to follow Judai back to the Osiris Red dorm, to live with, and learn from him.

He is also one of the sacrifices used in reviving the ultimate fusion card, Super Fusion. The emotional orb that had been embedded in him was one representing hatred.
