The Wicked God Zork Necrophedius (大邪神 ゾーク・ネクロファデス Daijashin Zōku Nekurofadesu) is the final enemy in the manga and Duel Monsters anime. Zork is the God of Darkness, and is present throughout the series as the spirit of the Millennium Ring, where his soul was sealed 3000 years ago. This spirit infrequently possesses the body of Ryo Bakura. His true form is only revealed during the Ultimate Dark R.P.G., where Dark Yugi and Dark Bakura replay the events of 3000 years ago. Zork Necrophedius's presence as the 'last boss' of the series was foreshadowed many volumes earlier by the name of the boss of Monster World: Zork.
Zork's name comes from two games: the early computer game Zork and the Dungeons and Dragons board game monster Necrophidius.
