Default Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters: Master Card Listing

As the title suggests, this will be the thread where the YGO DM card guide will be located. Here, you will find real and card exclusive to the anime. The first name of every card will be its translated name (translated by me, of course,) followed by its romaji, and finally its TCG name. Some people may not like this, but the format in which I present the guide is much more formal than any other format I've previously used. (You'll hardly tell the difference, really.) Oh, the flavor text is also of my translation.

I haven't completed it all. All of episode 1's cards are completed, but that's about it. (The upcoming episode guides have taken up this work time.) However, check this thread regularly, because there will be updates from time to time. You might even find the kanji here if I ever get the will to do it. (I rather finish it all and then do it. It's much less tedious.) Expect the finished version to be listed differently. (This is just a way in which I can list everything easily.)

Also, here is a little "conversion" table, for those unfamiliar with my translations:

    * Attack Mode/Defense Mode = Attack Position/Defense Position
    * Battle Mode = Battle Position
    * Fire-Type = Pyro-Type
    * Water-Type = Aqua-Type
    * Magic-User-Type = Spellcaster-Type
    * Sea Dragon-Type = Sea Serpent-Type
    * Demon-Type = Fiend-Type
    * Angel-Type = Fairy-Type
    * Sacrifice = Tribute
    * Cemetery = Graveyard

So, without further ado, friends, noblemen, people of the land. I present the new Master

Episode 1: The Terrifying Blue-Eyes White Dragon (Senritsu no Buruu Aizu Howaito Doragon)

    Monsters:

    Translation: Darkness Dragon
    Romaji: Ankoku no Ryuu-ou (Doragon)
    TCG: Blackland Fire Dragon
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Dark
    Type: Dragon
    Level: 4
    ATK/DEF: 1500/800
Text/Effect: A dragon that dwells in the depths of darkness. Its eyes aren't very good.
Note: The furigana above its name reads "Dragon" but the kanji below it reads "Dragon King." The furigana reading is the "true" reading, though.
Attack Name: Manga--Honoo no Buresu (Fire Breath)

    Translation: Shien's Double
    Romaji: Shien no Kagemusha
TCG: Kagemusha of the Blue Flame
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Earth
    Type: Warrior
    Level: 2
    ATK/DEF: 800/400
Text/Effect: Serves as a double to Shien. Possesses a fine sword with a sharp edge.
Note: Konami, when translation and adapting card names and text, mistranslated this card's name. "Blue Flame" comes from the kanji "Shien" which literally means..."Blue Flame." Of course, when they did this, and read the card's flavor text, they neglected (or ignored?) that "Shien" was written in katakana. So, what do they do? They write it as "Ruler of the Blue Flame" to avoid this. Of course, this is incorrect, because "Shien no Shihaisha", or something of the sort would be "Ruler of the Blue Flame." But, I digress, "Jo-ou no Kagemusha" (Queen's Double) isn't "Kagemusha of the Female King"...so I'll end it on that.

    Translation: Blue-Eyes White Dragon
Romaji: Aogan no Hakuryuu (Buruu Aizu Howaito Doragon)
    TCG: Blue-Eyes White Dragon
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Light
    Type: Dragon
    Level: 8
    ATK/DEF: 3000/2500
Text/Effect: A legendary dragon which boasts a high attack power. It smashes any opponent and its destructive powers are unfathomable.
Note: This card is a favorite of the manga-ka (artist) Takahashi-sensei.
Attack Name: Horobi no Baasuto Sutoreemu (Burst Stream of Destruction)

    Translation: Cyclops
    Romaji: Saikuropusu
    TCG: Hitotsu-Me Giant
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Earth
    Type: Beast-Warrior
    Level: 4
    ATK/DEF: 1200/1000
Text/Effect: A one-eyed giant. It strikes with its gigantic arms. Use caution with it.
Note: For whatever reason, Konami named this card "Hitotsu-Me Giant" in the TCG. (Probably from the flavor text which reads "hitotsume no kyojin"/"one-eyed giant.") Konami has done and is still doing this for other cards, but it has gotten progressively more understandable.

    Translation: Fortress-Guarding Winged Dragon
Romaji: Toride o Mamoru Yoku Ryuu
TCG: Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #1
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Wind
    Type: Dragon
    Level: 4
    ATK/DEF: 1400/1200
Text/Effect: A dragon that guards mountain fortresses. Attacks foes by swooping from the sky.
Attack Name: Kakyuu no Tsubute (Fireball Bombard)

    Translation: Saggi the Dark Clown
    Romaji: Yami Doukeshi no Sagii
    TCG: Saggi the Dark Clown
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Dark
    Type: Magic-User
    Level: 3
    ATK/DEF: 600/1500
Text/Effect: A clown that appears out of nowhere. Uses strange moves to avoid attacks.
Note: In Episode 1, Kaiba's voice actor (Kenjiro Tsuda) pronounced this card's name as "Yami Doukeshi Saagi" without the "no."
Attack Name: Daaku Guraido (Dark Glide)

    Translation: Critter
    Romaji: Kurittaa
    TCG: Sangan
    Card Type: Effect Monster
    Attribute: Dark
    Type: Demon
    Level: 3
    ATK/DEF: 1000/600
Type/Effect: When this card is sent from the field to the Cemetery, select 1 monster from your deck with an attack power of 1500 or less and add it to your hand after both players look at it. Then, shuffle your deck.
Note: In Episode 1, this creature does not use (or is not shown using) its OCG effect. This is because, in the manga, when this card was used, it had no effect to use. And since this card's release was at least a few more months away by the time of the episode's Japanese airing, they probably didn't think too much about it.

    Translation: Saiga
    Romaji: Saigaa
    TCG: Torike
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Earth
    Type: Beast
    Level: 3
    ATK/DEF: 1200/600
Text/Effect: Its defense isn't as high as it looks, but the attack from its horn is strong.

    Translation: (Mystery Red Monster)
    Romaji: (????)
    TCG: (????)
Note: This was a monster that was used by Yugi, but due to the way the scene was shown, it cannot be distinguished as any monster real or not-real.

    Translation: Gaia the Dark Knight
    Romaji: Ankoku Kishi Gaia
    TCG: Gaia the Fierce Knight
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Earth
    Type: Warrior
    Level: 7
    ATK/DEF: 2300/2100
Text/Effect: A knight which rides a horse that dashes faster than the wind. Be wary of its charging attack.
Note: This card is a favorite of the manga-ka (artist) Takahashi-sensei.

    Translation: Louise
    Romaji: Ruizu
    TCG: Beaver Warrior
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Earth
    Type: Beast-Warrior
    Level: 4
    ATK/DEF: 1200/1500
Text/Effect: Has a small body, but on the grasslands, its defense power is considerably strong.

    Translation: Imp
    Romaji: Inpu
    TCG: Horn Imp
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Dark
    Type: Demon
    Level: 4
    ATK/DEF: 1300/1000
Text/Effect: A small ogre which dwells in the dark. Its attacks are unexpectedly strong. Be wary of its horn.

    Translation: Judge Man
    Romaji: Jajji Man
    TCG: Judge Man
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Earth
    Type: Warrior
    Level: 6
    ATK/DEF: 2200/1500
Text/Effect: A warrior who has a disliking for bouts without an outcome. Its club attacks are strong!

    Translation: Black Magician
    Romaji: Burakku Majishan
    TCG: Dark Magician
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Dark
    Type: Magic-User
    Level: 7
    ATK/DEF: 2500/2100
Text/Effect: Both its attack and defense powers are in the highest class out of the Magic-Users.
Note: This card is a favorite of the manga-ka (artist) Takahashi-sensei.
Attack Name: Burakku Majikku (Black Magic)

    Translation: Exodia the Sealed One
    Romaji: Fuuinsareshi Ekuzodia
    TCG: Exodia the Forbidden One
    Card Type: Effect Monster
    Attribute: Dark
    Type: Magic-User
    Level: 3
    ATK/DEF: 1000/1000
Text/Effect: When a "Left Leg of the Sealed One", "Right Leg of the Sealed One", "Left Arm of the Sealed One", "Right Arm of the Sealed One" in addition to this card are all in your hand, you automatically win the duel.
Attack Name: Ikari no Gouka - Ekuzodo Fureimu (Helfire of Wrath - Exodo-Flame)

Translation: Left Leg of the Sealed One
    Romaji: Fuuinsareshi Hidariashi
TCG: Left Leg of the Forbidden One
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Dark
    Type: Magic-User
    Level: 1
    ATK/DEF: 300/200
Text/Effect: A sealed left leg. When the seal is broken, one can obtain infinite power.

Translation: Right Leg of the Sealed One
    Romaji: Fuuinsareshi Migiashi
TCG: Right Leg of the Forbidden One
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Dark
    Type: Magic-User
    Level: 1
    ATK/DEF: 300/200
Text/Effect: A sealed right leg. When the seal is broken, one can obtain infinite power.

Translation: Left Arm of the Sealed One
    Romaji: Fuuinsareshi Hidariude
TCG: Left Arm of the Forbidden One
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Dark
    Type: Magic-User
    Level: 1
    ATK/DEF: 300/200
Text/Effect: A sealed left arm. When the seal is broken, one can obtain infinite power.

Translation: Right Arm of the Sealed One
    Romaji: Fuuinsareshi Migiude
TCG: Right Arm of the Forbidden One
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Dark
    Type: Magic-User
    Level: 1
    ATK/DEF: 300/200
Text/Effect: A sealed left arm. When the seal is broken, one can obtain infinite power.

    Magic:

    Translation: Dark Generator
    Romaji: Yami Jenereetaa
    TCG: Negative Energy Generator
    Card Type: Normal Magic
Effect: Triple the attack power of a Dark-Attribute monster.
Note: This card was a replacement for the card "Dark Energy"...which is odd, considering the card Pegasus used was called "Dark Energy" and looked completely different than the version shown in the manga and used in the real-life card game. And this version of Dark Energy was used in both the anime and the manga...more weirdness. In addition, this card is listed as a Normal Magic just because of the way the card looked (no symbol, which was common with a lot of first generation cards,) but I'm "pretty" sure it's an Equipment Magic...oh well.

    Translation: Swords of Containing Light
    Romaji: Hikari no Gofuuken
    TCG: Swords of Revealing Light
    Card Type: Normal Magic
Effect: Turn all monsters on your opponent's side of the field face-up. After this card's activation, this card remains on the field for 3 turns (counting by your opponent's turns.) As long as this card is on the field, the monsters on your opponent's side of the field cannot declare an attack.
Note: In the anime, or at least for Episode 1, this card's effect was set to where it only applied for monsters on the field and on the field at the time of this card's activation. However, if one was to summon a new monster to the playing field, they would be unaffected by this card's effect.

Episode 2: The Trap of Illusionist No-Face (
    Iruujonisuto Noo Feisu no Wana)

Translation: Ogre Rock the Cave Golem
    Romaji: Gankutsu Majin Ooga Rokku
    TCG: Rock Ogre Grotto #1
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Earth
    Type: Rock
    Level: 3
    ATK/DEF: 800/1200
Text/Effect: Its defense is high because its body is made of rock. Be wary of a swing of its gigantic arms.

    Translation: Happy Lover
    Romaji: Happii Ravaa
    TCG: Happy Lover
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Light
    Type: Angel
    Level: 2
    ATK/DEF: 800/500
Text/Effect: A small angel that fires its Heart Beam from its head.

    Translation: Two-Headed King Rex
Romaji: Nitou wo Motsu Kingu Rekkusu
    TCG: Two-Headed King Rex
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Earth
    Type: Dinosaur
    Level: 4
    ATK/DEF: 1600/1200
Text/Effect: The strongest card amongst the Dinosaur-Types. Attacks simutaneously with its two heads.

    Translation: Basic Insect
    Romaji: Konchuu Ningen (Beeshikku Insekuto)
    TCG: Basic Insect
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Earth
    Type: Insect
    Level: 2
    ATK/DEF: 500/700
Text/Effect: An insect which lives in swarms. Their ideal environment is within forests.
Note: The furigana above its kanji name reads "Basic Insect." The kanji reads "Insect Human" or "Man-Bug." The furigana reading is the true reading of its name.

    Translation: Devil Dragon
    Romaji: Debiru Doragon
    TCG: Koumori Dragon
    Card Type: Normal Monster
    Attribute: Dark
    Type: Dragon
    Level: 4
    ATK/DEF: 1500/1200
Text/Effect: A fiendish dragon. It breathes wicked flames, tainting one's heart.
Note: This monster's TCG name reads "Koumori" which means "Bat" in Japanese.

NICE . But it will be too much of a work to Do all the cards instead only the anime only cards . Well atleast you add the original attack names. You made 2 of the important theads (the abime only card names and attack anmes thread) we use into 1 X).
But the way you do it janime can start revising the card database of YGO DM eps. Not to metion these threads are very good sources for fansbing info and stuff X).

Maybe you should put it in kana/kanji. Then, we get to see what it really looks like. But, that would be kinda hard because there's a lot of kanji. and even with Japanse Imput, you could get the wrong Kanji.

I can put in the Japanese, but it'd be way too tedious to do as I go along. It'd be a lot easier once I'm done with the list.
