Just what exactly are they? We first are introduced this concept in the Doma arc, when Dark Magician Girl explains how the Orichalchos God Leviathan was trying to destroy the Duel Spirit Dimension and the real world. Then in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, we discover that here are actually TWELVE duel spirit monster dimensions that exist next to each other. My question is, what exactly did Yubel do, to disrupt their balance? We know that in the world where Freed and Rhaz fought the Dark World monsters...the Dark World Monsters were outsiders. So what happened exactly? Why were duel monsters and people existing in dimensions they didn't belong to? And when Yubel was fused with Jaden's soul, what happened to the dimensions and everyone that died? Did they come back to life? I mean we know Jaden's friends did but what about Amon, Echo, Freed, Brron and the countless others who died? ....And what the heck happened to Bastion?!?! I mean, I love the third season, but it just opens up a lot of questions. Especially in regards to how monsters end up manifesting themselves in the real world and all...
Many of the questions you asked actually fell into the endless abyss that is GX plothole hell; information regarding the dimensions, the fate of everyone who died in Haou's Super Fusion romp, Ekou and Amon, Misawa... They were never expanded on at all, and no one knows for sure. Likely not even the writers. Though, it's generally assumed by homg, everyone that Misawa simply stayed behind with Tanyia and had many little tiger babies, and it's safe to say that Yubel just caused a lot of dimensional distortion in her bout of ILU,JUDAI!1! and that is what made random humans and/or duel monsters sparklepoof into random other dimensions. But honestly, it's all just speculation, as the GX writers are cruel. D:
That's what I was afraid of. GX had really good premises that almost never lived up to their full potential sadly. And was Bastion REALLY that unpopular to have him just written out of the story like that? XD I mean its just so..blatant. I don't suppose I should even bother asking about the mechanics of who and what "Darkness" and "Trueman" are and why all of a sudden the negative emotions of duelists ended up forming an entirely different parallel world that sucked up all of Domino City... And why was Seto Kaiba the only one to NOT get sucked up?!? What about Yugi and the others? XD To be honest, Trueman kinda reminded me of Mr. Smith from "The Matrix." XD

It's really ambiguous as to why the writers apparently hated Misawa so much. I just like to think he's really just this huge joke to them, and they're aware of all the 'MISAWA DOKO?!' that floats around 2chan and NicoNico Douga. It makes it less painful. >__> Though, I don't think anyone will ever beat Martin in terms of written off-ness, as he was literally put on a boat, which really should be funny, but it's not. XD [Oh God, you mentioned Trueman. QUICKLY, RUN! RUN BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!] Trueman in tl;dr is "Lol, I am a disgruntled dimensional moderator who is fed up with your ******ry, Judai. Like Saiou and Kagemaru just finished telling you, the dimensions are starting to overlap because- O WAIT, NOPE. I'm now apparently the embodiment of all the emo butthurt on Earth that relates to your card game! DAAKUNESU!11!<3<3<3" And despite being the 'one who speaks the truth' all he really did was screw with people's heads and laugh about it, and never spoke a word of truth. [Though, I suppose they were going for the whole 'the truth to humanity is negative emotions and suffering!' thing with him, but meh.] They apparently decided to change the plot for season 4 in the *Gasp* character development episode gap from 160-168, unless I just fail at connecting how the various 'this is what is going on' explanations they gave us go together, and Darkness was a fake boss to cram in there because they wanted to move on to 5D's ASAP, and they hoped that maybe the shiny motorcycles would distract us from remembering the whole 'OOooh, is dat sum Kaiba foreshadowing i see thar?' thing. ...This post is ridiculously biased; don't take any of it seriously. XD
No, I will take your post very seriously because its hilarious and full of win. XD To be honest, I like Bastion. However, I really find him boring in the manga, go figure. And yeah, that was kinda funny about poor Martin. He was all cool and awesome when he was the pale, evil little spawn of Satan, but when he turned good I guess he stopped being interesting. XD My favorite moment with Trueman was when he popped out of the cards belonging to the poor, lonely kid who wanted to be a better duelist due to being picked on. I mean, the way he just...pops out of nowhere in some pre-adolescent's room, dressed in black leather is just so wrong on so many levels its hilarious. And then he had poor O'Brien crying for his mommy in a duel. That's some serious mindgaming right there. "Darkness" could've been interesting if he wasn't so carelessly tacked onto the plot. When the heck did Nightshroud from the first season end up being the end all evil of the world? LOL. I just wished they would've gone into Jaden having a duel monster spirit lover living inside his body that originally wanted to kill him and all of his friends. Now THAT would've been characterization. And while I found the duel between Jaden and Yugi to be a cool way to end it, I think it was rather bizarre he'd just magically travel back in time. I don't think there's even a point in asking how THAT happen, is there? I really do wish GX would've kept going. It needed to. But now we just have 5D's...*sigh*
If you ask me, GX is awesome, but it asks questions and doesnt answer them. I thought of a story about this, i'm gonna post it on the fanfics page but not yet, so dont bother looking for it.
