No one said you couldn't state your opinion, but there's still no reason to bash it that bad when we haven't seen any previews. Wait until the 30 minute OVA preview coming next month, then we'll actually have something to go on.

Yes, Judai VS Yugi was done poorly, but the concept itself of the two meeting is a good idea. But he should have Dueled present time Yugi.

The time bending thing may be cliche, but it is the best way to celebrate all three YGO series. That way characters/locations from each time period will be presented in the movie.
I admit the ballistic accusation was out of line, so I apologize for that.

But I still hold to my opinions. The plot is ridiculous and silly. Just look at what happened to Pyramid of Light. Lots of Yugioh fans were excited and it turned out to be a total bomb. I'm expecting the same thing to happen here--people will get all thrilled and when we all finally see it, it's going to leave such a sour taste in our mouths.

But you have a valid point. I'll hold the rest of my thoughts and points back until I see this 30 minute preview.

Although, if you ask me, the only shows where bringing past protagonists together with the current protagonist has worked are the Kamen Rider and Power Rangers shows. It's silly, I know. But those shows make it work somehow. When you look at Yugioh, you just can't picture the 3 main protagonists being or working together... it's like it doesn't really compute.

Now if the show somehow pulled off Yuugi/Juudai being old, but still living and then meeting up with Yuusei, I'd buy it completely. It makes sense and it doesn't baffle the mind when trying to comprehend the plot.

I hope in some sort of form Dark Yugi (toei series) makes some kind of apperance, I mean I know its the whole copyright situation, but that dark spirit was and is still Badass (really I hate Atem, he was not as cool as the dark spirit) and with out him theyre would be no duel monsters, though I wonder why exactly the creator changed alot from his original idea to that of duel monsters, oh well, getting back on subject If he made an appearance.

So the characters meeting will probable have something to do with some time bending plot, sounds good to me. though I wonder how it will compare to all other anniversary movies that comes out this year (ie Ninja Turtles: Turtles forever, Decade all Rider vs daishocker). Paradox, first thing I thought about was the Paradox twins.

hoping that this will be good, though still needs original dark Yugi to make it perfect

ps. XxDarknessxX I would also add, Power Ranger cross overs are not really done well majority of the time, though only good for Nastalgia(sp?). Super Sentai on the other hand their cross overs (which are direct to dvd and are non canon) are better in my opinion

Thats why we are all excited about this. We want to know how it is going to work.

This is sure that won't be happening, not because the first series was made by toei but because in the manga Dark Yugi change his attitude when time passes by.

Despite the speed in which DVDs and even television shows are ripped by Japanese fandoms, theatrical movies are a noteworthy exception. If movies like Kara no Kyoukai or the Evangelion movies are any indication, you can expect the movie some where around... July of next year. A long way to go.

Then we agree to disagree to agree, or something to that effect.

Anyway, I would lol if "Dark Yugi" from his first appearance appeared, but that wouldn't happen. As mentioned, him and Atem are the same spirit. Starting when he first meets Yugi in Duelist Kingdom, he slowly begins to change. He decides not to use penalty games anymore, especially when he wanted to on Pegasus but refused to.

well with the whole time bending thing that is not any problem, it could be that dark yugi from the first chapter (remeber that grin).

you with paradox's long yellow hair, could be that dark yugi lol.

but in a serious not it would be cool if he did appear.

but movie sounds good either way, I'm watching it just for yusei and Judai. since that Atem vs Seto match (remember how they made it out that, that fight was going to be the greatest fight ever), which ended in a flash of white light, I lost all hope for Yu-gi-oh Duel Monsters

From what I can make up from Ojama's post is that this is info for the three main characters (like their Ace monsters) and confirms that the date is 23.01.2010. Sorry, but since I don't know a lot of kanji, I can't tell you more...

My Kanji is a bit rusty too, but I think that each main character's favorite will be featured in the movie? I not sure if that's what it says, but a do regonize the katakana for Black Magican, and E Hero Neos. Your are correct about the date though, it's Jan. 23, 2010.

So does that mean instead of bringing them all together, Paradox travels through time and is defeated by each one of the protagonists individually, maybe?

    It's something to think about.

I really can't wait for this movie. Its gonna be the bomb.

Perhaps if you're really "lucky", someone might upload a cam version of the movie several weeks after 1/23/2010.
However, if the Bleach cam versions of their movies are any indication, you would barely see anything, and the sound would be pretty much, non existent.

So, yeah, like Hisui mentioned, quite the wait until a watchable quality version of the movie is available...

    Yeah...though I wasn't expecting much.
Teaser trailers usually don't have footage of the movie they're about.

Especially since those descriptions feel the need to reveal that Yusei has a riding duel with Paradox, while the other two don't get details.

Oh well, I'll still be waiting Yugi or Judai to somehow get involve in a riding duel. xD
Just, as long as it's not the 'let's give yusei our ace monsters to use!!' finish as the 5D's anime has done twice so far....

Very good ! Paradox seems to be a very intresting and mysterious character. Maybe it is link in 5d's main plot ? Perhaps he is in reality a character seen before ? According informations, if the battle is accross the time, maybe Paradox wants to change the time ?

The trailer doesn't show anything new, but looks like the website has been updated with more sections. I haven't noticed that. Paradox looks, well, interesting. I like his mask, though. That thing which holds his white coat(?) together resembles the Millennium Eye a bit, heh. The first thought that crossed my mind was Jack, Kaiba and Kaiser and Anubis being fused into one being, but... eh, no.

The 3D idea sounds pretty neat, actually. And, if you think about it, three series, three dimensions are being fused.

In the meantime, I'll hop onto the "other characters from the series" bandwagon. I'm curious if they get special clothes for the movie, or their most iconic ones.

wait what the first digimon movie was about when Taichi and Hikari met that Greymon that ended up what caused them to be digidestined in the future, don't see how that connects.

No, he meant the movie(I think it was the 2nd one, but in America the 1st and 2nd were combined into 1 movie) where the protagonists of the 1st series met the protagonists of the 2nd.

God that would utterly suck. What's the point in making this if they don't actually meet?

I think, despite the misleading information about Yusei having the Riding Duel and Paradox crossing dimensions, there is a good chance they will still meet one another. After all, "Super Fusion" is in the title, which fuses dimensions together...

    Let's hope anyway.

The closer we are to see it, the more excited and impatient we become. I really believe that all our hopes and expectances about this movie at the end will be justified. This movie is said to be memorable for all the history of Yu-Gi-Oh series. But it's already great, before it's even aired.

    Yeah, pretty much this.

Especially the 3D part is bugging me (this and that Judai is gonna be in it *shudder*), cause 5D's showed that they're really not good at this stuff.

Why is it most of what you say makes me want to say "This?"

Evil dude looks SO GX. I got some Fujiwara hyperfag vibes from him.

Wait..a second theater released movie of a Japanese card game anime series in 3D? Grea~t, where have I seen that before..

I'm seriously not all that hype for this...The 3D we have seen from 5D's is just..nasty. I dunno why they went in the 3D direction anyway..

Er, I don't know if the majority is taking the whole '3D' thing to mean the same graphics as the aiughshdfhhsjhf 5D's summoning animations and whatnot, but when I see '3D' in that teaser, I think of the red and blue glasses gimmick that's been sprinkled randomly throughout the movies coming out recently.

I was the one that first thinked of that after thinking that it would be a 3D animation like it is going to be. So I was wrong xD

Oh, thats cool then. Thanks, you've actually increased my hype for this movie. Seriously. I hope it's that kind of 3D. Actually, it should be, I mean wouldn't they say "CGI" instead of "3D?"

Let's hope not only his card throws.
The animators can't ignore the other 2 protagonists, especially if they both also will be engaged in riding duel, which I really hope to happen. After all it was said that the duel will be 3 vs 1. Paradox has a D-Wheel, so I guess Yugi and Judai will have to obtain D-Wheels too.
The 3D animation will be concerned only with the card throws and the monsters, which won't be that bad if it's done properly and with due attention.

Don't think it would be just Yuusei, of course Yugi and Judai will have their 3D time

3D is most definately meant to be 3D glasses.

    Thought that was pretty obvious...

Okay, one complaint less from me if they don't mean this CGI crap with 3D.

Agreed. Is it some kind of trend to make your villain look totally stupid? This actually wouldn't bother me, if those guys weren't supposed to be threatening and be taken seriously. But they are. >_>

Don't be too excited. Nobody outside of Japan is ever going to see it in 3D, unless they put the 3D version on the DVD too. Which I somewhat doubt.

They'll probably use a bit of CG still, but I'd expect a theatrical movie to have a bit better CG since it'll have a higher budget. Obviously this movie isn't going to look amazing, but it'll probably have decent animation.

That's not hard to do at all.

Anyway I'm not expecting this movie to be amazing (obviously), but I pretty much think it'll be like FF Dissidia. Stupid story (as expected in Yugioh of course), but still cool just seeing the three heroes team up.

It's not about how hard to do it is, it's about how likely it is. But I admit, I don't have much knowledge about how stuff like that is usually marketed over there in Japan. Maybe they'll do something like a Collectors Edition with 3D version of the movie and 3D glasses inside the box. We'll see.

I just hope doesn't go like that...I hate using 3D-glasses >>", they are a bother to my eyes...and you can't see decently things in detail...

I'm still wonder about the teaser trailer...the "duel" partI can distinguish yusei and yugi(yugi is not hard XD), I wonder the most is the childish voice one, dunno, is not mokuba or rua or ruka voice...I really wonder, the hardest to catch the voice of judai there D:, Yusei and Yugi I can hear well, but judai dunno...I kinda can and not catch it...

Avatar and signature (as support for Izayoi Aki duels be back). watch if you want-I advice to switch to "standard"

I think the Yugi voice is still Shunsuke Kazama (er, what was his name again?). I'll freak out if Judai had a change of seiyu and it's that child's voice (sorry for the hyperbole). XD
