Well that explains them. Any clue on the meaning of Ironheart, Chris and Sunny?

In a couple of episodes, there are many familiar logos. One episode in the Battle City arc shows coffee cups that look similar to those of Starbucks, and during Duelist Kingdom, Mai drinks from a Pepsi can. (I think it just had the logo, I can't recall though) Note that these references are removed in the english version.

Yeah only the logo is seen without words on it so not to make it a blatant enough commercial .

But these you mentioned were the obvious references.

I know this is more of a GX reference, but I didn't want to start a whole different thread that wouldn't really be necessary. Anyways, in episode 39, the episode with the Black Scorpion's, there are references to Detective Conan/Case Closed. The first is that Don Zaloog's name is Magure, similar to Meigure of DC. Second, this isn't really a reference, but Professor Banner's Voice in the JPN version is the same VA that plays Shinichi in DC.

There already is a GX thread for references. It was the firt of the three reference threads, iirc.

Indeed it was. Mainly because there was a period in GX where they just said "screw it" and threw in references to everything they thought was cool. We call this period "Seasons 1-3".

In one of the raw chapters of GTO: Shonan 14 Days, Onizuka calls himself "Kichijouchi no yugiou," while playing a PS3 game against one of White Swan's brats, but the scanlators translated it as "The Game King of Kuchijouchi." Don't think this one really counts but meh.

    That is correct.

In Japanese they are "Doma no Sanjushi." Where "Sanjushi" (三銃士) is what the Japanese call the characters The Three Musketeers.

As proof, look at these other anime series with "Sanjushi" in the title. Clearly the Three Musketeers:

Not sure if anyone's posted it, but there's a 5D's reference in Bakuman. A poster of Yusei is on the wall in one of the scenes. This was when 5D's just-just came out, though.

This one is kinda obvious, but the Duel Monsters World virtual game is based on The Legend of Zelda games, because of the sprites and the fairy-that-helps-out-players bit. I'm not too clear on this one, however.
Just wanted to say that I love you for mentioning Yoroiden Samurai Troopers. Best anime-only series I've had the pleasure of watching, as well as being my first anime ever.
