Definitely agree with you there having the 3 protagonists from the 3 respective series is major fan service for this 10th anniversary special and it really brings all 3 timelines together if there was any doubt about 5D's being a new universe. I know OVA movies tend to not be considered canon but with Yugi, Judai & Yusei at least being shown together in some media it confirms it for me. With fan service I guess alot of people including myself are hoping to see some cameos from our favourite characters really hope we get some speaking cameos.

Is this movie 4 kids idea? I always wondering that.
But I hope it don`t, because I really hated that pyramid of ligth thing. And I think the movie from the series 0 is just a OVA.
Even if it isn`t canon, I`ll like the idea. They together will be cute, and I can finally see Yugi with Juudai.

The Toai Anime movie was not an OVA, it was definatly shown at the cinema and has its own cinema trailer which can be found on the HK version of the DVD. The big question is who'd pay money to see a 30 minute long movie

So there will be a preview for the movie on the 17th of January, it seems. 665 pairs, aka 1330 people are invited. Then there's something about a card. Maybe people are given a promo card when they go see the movie?

I didn't have much luck with the other two, too many kanjis and I can't read the hiragana above them properly... The purple blurb says something about Yusei, a mission and Stardust.

The yellow blurb says something about Stardust and D-Wheel, it also mentions Yusei's name again.

Yeah, I'll leave it to someone who actually knows Japanese. XD

It's pretty interesting, it says Stardust disappeared instead of being stolen. Hmm... (Unless it is mentioned in the paragraphs I couldn't figure out, then nevermind.)

Is stardust dragon so important to Yugi and Juudai helps Yusei? I think it`s kinda random. Cards like Ra, Osiris and Obelisk seems to be more important. idk.

I have quick question to HOROKO:
are you going to translate and sub this movie right after you'll watch it? Or going to pass this job to prisma subbing abilities?(many fans who doesnt understand japanese, i am one of those, would like to know)

He, on anyone wont be able to sub it untill they get a DVD copy unfortunately, since its airing in a cinema, subbing wont do with a CAM copy.

Stardust is one of the 5 Crimson Dragon cards. IMO, it is on the same level as the God Cards or the Demon Cards from GX. Same with the Earthbound Gods as well.

Hope the DIARY section on YGO10TH.COM to be updated till the end of this week.

And because of the display techniques used in the cinema for the 3D display, camrips are out of the question, too. Or that's what I've read at the 2chan thread, anyway. (Although a camrip could be possibly subbed if it's decent enough. They have done it with Evangelion Rebuild 2.0.)

I suppose we'll have to rely on blog/journal reviews and attempts at taking photos from the movie. (If anyone tries, that is. But if recording the movie is impossible, photos would be also in vain, somewhat.)

Good point. Stardust is the servant of the Crimson Dragon. But seeing how they (Stardust and Red Demon, anyway) needed to be in their Savior forms to beat the Earthbound Gods. Savior Dragon is the incarnation of the Crimson Dragon, no? Going by episode 64, Crimson Dragon used Savior Star's being to materialize, is this because the Savior Dragon (the Crimson Dragon itself) is the component of Savior Star? The marks were also united in the duelist in question, which would provide as further evidence.

However, the Crimson Dragon couldn't beat the Earthbound Gods without the Five Dragons. But the Five Dragons couldn't beat an Earthbound God without the power of the Crimson Dragon, either.

Because of these, I'd say the Five Dragons are probably below the Egyptian Gods/Earthbound Gods/etc in the God hierarchy, kind of like how Osiris and Obelisk are below Ra.

That would be nice, yes. Considering that they posted on Tuesday only because of the new eyecatch/trailer, the diary should be back to its normal Wednesday schedule. I'd like to see a better photo of Atsushi and Paradox, like the one from V-Jump.

No. The God Cards and the Demon Cards have power to destroy the world, are very powerfull. Instead, Stardust Dragon only is one of the 5 Dragons, only is a servant of the Crimson Dragon, his power is very limited.

If Stardus Dragon had the power of a god, could have destroyed the dark signers and the King of Underworld alone. If Stardust had the power of a god, the Crimson Dragon should have a much greater power of a god

In conclusion, Stardust doesn�t have the power of a God.

Having a power that comes close to a god, are:
Neos, because he have the power of the neospace.
Yubel, with the power of the Light of destrucio. She can travel. She can travel between dimensions, as well
Crimson Dragon.

4kids didn't have anything to do with this, trust me. If this was 4kids idea wouldn't the movie be coming out in the US first and not Japan. Also, this wouldn't be the 10th anniversary of YGO in the US, YGO didn't air on television until 2001, and since it's 2009 it's only been running for about 8 years. So anyway, I think it was not 4kids idea.

Oh you're talking for the preview....well it's just a preview....not the whole movie after all.
They could show some unknown scenes from the movie, how the VA's were working on the dubbing, some words from the producers about how they came with the idea for the movie, some scenes from the working process, they could show the process of animating the characters and the monsters and that's all I guess.
What else do we want to see for 30 minutes.
But the movie just can't be 30 minutes.

When you define the word "preview" it could mean 3 things:

• an advertisement consisting of short scenes from a motion picture that will appear in the near future
• watch (a movie or play) before it is released to the general public
• a screening for a select audience in advance of release for the general public

Hope the first one refers for this preview, cuz personally I haven't seen a 30min. movie being aired in cinemas, so....it gotta be the first one.

The first movie was a 30min. movie aired in cinemas, it was aired with a digimon movie that also was 30min. long.

Also, I don't want the movie to be 30 min. long but, I don't think the people want to buy the entries just for seen an advertisement, if that was already shown in the jump festa a month ago.

Yeah, but think...Yusei and Judai will meet for about 10 minutes, then untill they meet with Yugi and Paradox show up, about 15 minutes will be passed. Then for the duel will be left about 15 minutes. I don't think so. There will be shown 10 completely new monsters and I don't know how all of them will be played for 15 minutes. The truth is that's impossible.
And about the people who will see this preview...I wrote that they were invited to watch it.

then when something happens to Yugi another 3 maybe
then in the final duel they will be showing the last four.

In the DS arc the twins always showed 5 cards in "The card of the week showcase" and that cards were played, and not just that cards, but more, so its not impossible.

And for last, if I was wrong in the time set in the TV in the last scan and it was like Arynis said: 23 and not 43, then its possible.

But even if we take the timers into consideration from the photos we were shown, that's an impossible length for the movie... unless you assume that the protagonists curb stomp Paradox in seven minutes. (If the timer with Atsushi's photo from V-Jump indeed showed 23:..., that is.)

Besides, it would be pretty ridiculous if an anniversary movie was 30 minutes long. Personally I don't think the entire movie would use 3D effects, maybe at select moments? (Stardust does sparkly poof attack! WITH SPARKLES! *shot*)

We still don't know from what scene is that screenshot, it could be that they are already dueling, and not starting the duel.

Yes, Paradox will play for sure with corrupted versions of the 9 strongest monsters from all 3 series. There's a slight jance to guess which some of them might be without watching the eyecatches.

Well, they are alternative versions of old cards. I think it's obvious.
Something new about them could be the names, the effects, and probably the attack points.
But the names seem to be the same....ブルーアイズ・ホワイト・ドラゴン (Buruaizu White Dragon)
Only the 10th monster could be something completely new.
(Although, personally, I'm really glad to see the strongest monsters of all 3 series with this new appearance. xD)

Good stuff. So the second card is a corrupted Red-Eyes. Thank goodness that Josses the possibility of that "three rival fusion" theory...

I'm starting to think Paradox's cards focus on the theme of contradictions, very much like himself and his objective. Red-Eyes and Blue-Eyes are opposites, like two sides of a coin. They are also LIGHT and DARK attributed, also going along with Paradox's patterns.

The diary talks about how unpleasant last week was (with that episode... I'm not surprised XD), and they have started to reveal the monsters from the movie one by one. The Blue-Eyes White Dragon is the first card, but on the second glance, it is different. That really is its true colors! (Something like that, anyway.)

They also ask if anyone looked at the main page (which has been updated), which now says every visitor will get cards as a present! (How unsurprising.) They hope people will enjoy them. It also mentions the cards are going to be in limited edition.

They also mention the Sakiyomi JumBANG! show. Remember, it's going to be aired on Friday, so tune in if you can! (I'll see if I can record it, but don't count 100% on me. :p) I already posted the details earlier:

Now, this means the programme will air at 9:00-9:30 AM (UTC+0000) 27th of November, Friday. That would make it 4:00-4:30 AM for the US East Coast, also on Friday.

Hopefully in the movie the cards won't just be recolored stock-art from 10 years ago.

At the very beginnig is shown the REBD along with presenting the Sakiyomi JumBANG! show.

Red-Eyes, eh? Wow, this threw off my previous idea of the other 9 cards being different monster types. But with Red-Eyes as the 2nd token, could it possibly be that the rest may be dragons or dragon-looking monsters? My other idea was that all 9 cards represent main character's rival and best friend monsters. Well, I'll have to wait next week to see the next token.

I can almost bet that it will be Black/Dark Magician.

Corrupted Red Eyes ! Interesting ! Dark Magician will get a new artwork ? Idea of friends and rivals corrupted monster is very good !
