The issue with Pegasus is his signature card. Toon World is a magic card, and is useless by itself unless one has the Toons. Pegasus didn't use a specific Toon, either. However, we don't know if the Paradox corruption changes the affected card's effect or not. His other card is Relinquished, but with taking symbolism and whatnot into consideration, that card is already "corrupted". Thousand-Eyes Restrict is banned, and again, it is already "corrupted" enough. (By the corruption stuff here, I'm referring to how the two monsters represented the darker, uglier side of Pegasus. But it depends on how and when they would be used if they were to appear as corrupted cards.)

Or he could just snatch the Cyndia card. She was made into a card, after all. :V

We don't know yet, it would partly depend on which Pegasus was shown in the trailer (which we have no knowledge of as of now). But if Paradox intended to truly destroy Duel Monsters by erasing Pegasus, he would have to go for the Pegasus who didn't travel to Egypt and get the Eye yet. Erasing Pegasus after creating Duel Monsters wouldn't result in a paradox because Duel Monsters would still exist, but the timeline would be still altered big time. Depending on the time of erasure, this would result in from small changes (like post-GX) to Yugi not teaming up with Dark Yugi and learning more about the Millennium Items because the non-existence of Duelist Kingdom. And so on...

Because the three protagonists encounter Paradox in the DM period, it might well be DM!Pegasus. Of course, Paradox could still play dirty and travel further into the past during their duel.

We still know very little about his role, unfortunately, so this is all I can guess.

Yeah we know for surely thats his rival but the anime didn't really respect him for it. The manga does the opposite effect though by having Manjyome as the proper rival. But, its pretty confusing to audiences who do not read the manga

Speaking of manga's, didnt the pyramid of light movie get a manga adaptation or a novel adapation?

Would be cool if they could do something similer to that for this movie.

It did. You can find it at Horoko's site, Tatsu No Kiba Productions. It tried to save Pyramid of Light from being a badly executed movie, it actually had some nice tidbits in there. Heck, it's one of the only sources mentioning the IC chips inserted into the cards.

Man, Manjyome in the show is 10X cooler than the manga *** version.

EDIT: a friend of mine who knows Japanese watched the trailer and said those are reflections of the BEWD and the text bellow it say the normal Yu-Gi-Oh! title and "Beruuaizu howaito doragon". I think they're just showcasing the key cards that were in each series.

Well, I'm liking what this movie has in store for us. A second thing came true from my fanfic blogs, mainly the Eyeshield 21 crossover, where football players interrupted Battle City Tournament all orchestrated by Hiruma himself.

I thought of this foresight that Hiruma (or Tamura as VA) could be showing subtle warnings to Yugi and com. That he was in the bad side once and that he never want to hurt anybody again with his past.

Thus he predicted that his descendant Paradox would change the past which is in this era. His ancestors were already criminal in track record of mass murders and theft. He would however would go all go all out just to change this curse.

If only others could understand his motives however.

Now the cards are amazing, we'll see more as the weeks pass by.

I guess Paradox will have BEWD, REBD, Dark Magician, Neos, Arm Dragon, Cyber Dragon, Stardust Dragon, Red Demon's Dragon and Black Feather Dragon

I don't think that paradox will have neos.

I get the feeling that Paradox may summon all these antagonist ace cards and that the character from which that card came from will have to showhow defeat it once again.

If what I suspect is true, Paradox may be trying to test the duelists abilities for his own motives.

Also I reckon the duel won't just have one scenary, Paradox may use his powers to tranport the duelists to different locations throughout the duel as evident from his time-wrap abilities. Even better he may separate the duelists and trap them individually in different locations but, still have the 3 on 1 feel to the duel.

Everything looks good so far.

Ooooh. I like those theories a lot! Especially the scenery warp one. That reminds me of Lavos in Chrono Trigger, there's a part where it would keep warping the party between time periods. (Or was it just the period aspect of the pocket dimension it resided in because it was in connection with every major period, I'm not really sure...)

As for the "testing the duelists" part, I could see something like, "Are you duelists capable of changing the future? Are you able to save the future?"

I actually really like that theory, but the 'antagonist' part is giving me trouble. Yugi and Yuusei both have clear main rivals, Kaiba and Jack respectively. But what about Juudai? Is his main rival Manjoume? Or Hell Kaiser? Or Edo, or Johan, or any of the other people wanting to defeat him?

... Also, I kinda get the feeling that he'd just draw Super Fusion or something and create yet another fusion ^^;

After seeing that new Blue Eyes White Dragon monster in the trailer preview before 85 aired. I have this weird theory that perhaps Kaiba gets possessed by something that turns him into Paradox? I mean if you look at Paradox's outfit...it sorta resembles Kaiba's a little. Then again this is just me speculating guess we'll have to wait and see. But after seeing the newest trailer I'm looking forward to the movie!

Now I have a theory that maybe Paradox can transform into the rivals of the 3 protagonists, like Luciano.
That will happen when he plays their respective cards.

I have a hunch Paradox will be a temporal Paradox, as in his own actions create the very future he tries to stop.
For example maybe he tries to change the DM game but it becomes more corrupted (as shown by the odd BEWD). This then possibly leads to some major event which caused his future. Maybe the game becomes more ruthless, so more people turn evil and that caused another incident like that of Domino city.

I found two persons for Sasaki.

Shirō Sasaki (Is this a photo of him? The hair and the glasses do match... Except according to Wikipedia, this man is 70 years old... uh.)

That Blue Eyes sure does look good, I'm really looking forward to this Movie now. The patterns remind me of the clone Charizard from Pokemon the 1st movie.

It would be a huge plot twist if Paradox is actually divine possessing Kaiba with some mistake that Misawa made with his so called professor. Hence , taking revenge on Yuusei for taking away the screen time of Divine AND getting rid of Misawa in GX. As for Yuugi , Kaiba wants to crush him, which made Paradox ! just speculations

I managed to figure out what was that BANG thing 2chan was talking about.

Now, this means the programme will air at 9:00-9:30 AM (UTC+0000) 27th of November, Friday. That would make it 4:00-4:30 AM for the US East Coast, also on Friday.

I'm not going to be around this time for the recording, since I'll be at school at the time. However, I'll see what I can do, like setting my computer up for the recording.

Hehe, Lord Kaiba AT last gets some screen time, and Blue Eyes, at llast, a new Blue Eyes Card! This movie is going to rock hahaha, hopefully this will be the epic dual, and not end with lame hack and real dual skills. I wonder if the God Cards will make a appearance as well. After all of the poser god cards, they are still suppose to be the three ultimate cards. Well, only one way to find out.

And yep, it is! In fact, I recall Horoko making a topic about one of their broadcasts about YGO where there was this huge poster in a book. I can't recall anything else, apart from the pirate outfits and the parrot. XD (The programme's website is linked in their Wikipedia article.)

I think that post was a quote from the post-recording interview (You can see the number 26 in there) as a response to some quote in the same post, from what I could gather from the translation.

May be. Anyway, it's interesting to read. (although I use only online translator. xD)

I wonder what type of card that Blue Eyes will be. Going by the markings, we can all take a guess and say its Paradox's dragon, and since this guys name is Paradox I'm going to say it will be a Dragon (obviously) Syncro / Effect, since it would be a contradiction to what the original Blue eyes is, a Normal monster. Not to mention it will stay truthful to the (so called) villains name.

All guessing work on my end.
