Huzzah, you made one of those threads for DM, too! =D

I'll never forgive Animator #2 for making Pegasus look rather FAB in most of his episodes, then he makes him utterly sparkly eyes shoujo in episode 40. ;_; Then again, #11 made him totally BUFF. Oh, and gave him a Slasher Smile to boot. :V

If you ever need a Pegasus for your comparison pictures, I have a collection of Kagami!Pegasus pictures here. XD

I've been waiting for this section, but as always I noticed it a little bit late....like many threads here that are of big interest to me. -_- ;p
Anyway, if we exclude the episodes made by Kagami and Hara, I think the name of the animation director for 23 was Keiji Shigesawa. This kind of animation just can't be mistaken....especially in episodes like 171 and 183. ;p This style is my most fave along with Kagami's. ;]

The animation director don't draw from scratch most of the times, he just unify the drawings to have all of them look the same (or at least, the more he can from the original drawings). If some pictures really look bad and if he have some time left, he, of course, redo them.

The guys who draws from scratch are the ones who draws the genga (original picture).

The animators don't draw from scratch neither, they often get two genga, one of the beginning of the animation, the other from the end of the animation, and they are here to fill the gap, so they are just redrawings lips, eyes, arms, legs, to make the movements. Their drawings (intervals) are called "douga" (moving image).

So saying something like "those drawings or animations, it should be "insert guy name" is not really a sure fact (and even, most often, an error).

You can add these for Kawaita Sakebi and Ashita Moshi Kimi ga Kowaretemo, for the first series. They're not creditless, but the quality is the highest I've seen for this series. I don't think creditless versions even exist for the first series.

Also, perhaps you can explain to me the reason for the very slight difference in the way the lyrics are sung, in Kawaita Sakebi, between the first few episodes and the rest of the series? Like if you watch the OP credits of episode 1 and those of episode 27, there's a slight but noticeable difference. I never really understood the difference though.

One last thing. If you wish, the same user who uploaded the above two videos also has slightly higher quality creditless versions of the videos you linked. The only difference is a small one in quality, and they're also a little smaller. They're here:

Sweet! I always wondered why the character designs were different between each episode. I actually thought there were 6-7 directors in YGO DM; I never would've guessed that there were actually 33 that worked on this series! Yeah, I would get frustrated that the character designs would change every episode because I liked some more than others. Some were really good, but some were just awful.

The ones I liked were done by Kimiharu Mutou (ep 174), Hidetsugu Hirayama (ep 145), and Yoshikatsu Inoue (158, 176). These are all from Doma as that was the first arc where I really paid attention to the different character designs; I'm too lazy to go back to the other seasons.

I think it is Hara who did Warriors and Afueru but I could be wrong. But Hara did improve from the first episode he directed to a few Doma episodes he did.

I have posted the orginal source of the videos above. Just make a NicoDouga acount to view them. The project is still on going but looking through 224 plus GX's 180 and 5D's 120+ is quite alot of work.

Well that's true. OP/ED5 seems far more fascinating. The Memory Arc was really lack of experienced directors, except Mutoh and Hara.
