Actually, based on the whole "it's probably in October" thing, I'm hoping perhaps the "peanut gallery" will get eyecatches, too - it would be a very cool thing to see Anzu with good animation (even in manga she's very rarely well-drawn), perhaps Crow, Kaiba, Johan . . . the old faithfuls.

Yeah, right. This whole tour will begin october, which means I'll see YGO OVA when I start school - that's not good.

I wan't to see the old DM characters with good animation.
This short time of 30 minutes must be compensated with awsome plot, cool characters and nice animation.

And it is a bit creepy. Yugi's face don't really fit his body when its animated for the Pharaoh's style.

The video is probably fanmade.
First - Yugi never wears his jacket on his shoulders.
Second - if the animators wanted to make an eye catch with Yugi, the flashback with his monsters would be different.
I mean, they would include Gandora,Marshmallon,Silent Magician and Silent Swordsman. Yugi is mostly connected with these monsters, especially after season 5 of DM.

Third - THERE HAS BEEN NO EPISODE FOR IT TO APPEAR BEFORE!

Seriously people, common sense needs to be exercised more.

I must admit, I'm a bit surprised there's nothing about this in the leaked VJUMP scans of late, but who knows, we may find more info when we get full scans in a few days time.

Same here, though, I sort of doubt Anzu would get any treatment like that.
If they go by duelist, I more likely expect Mai, or even Ichizu before Anzu.
Shame too, because seeing Anzu animated as such would be awesome.

If they do move on to other characters, I expect the protagonists' BFFs (Jounouchi, Sho or Johan, Crow) before the rivals.

HAHA Joey V.S Syrus V.S Crow who would annoy the most out of each other? The only one who doesn't have a bad temper out of those three is Syrus so I think he'd have a better chance of winning

When I think of this whole thing, I rather doubt the OVA would include any characters of DM or GX. I really want to. But the fact that 3 eye catches with the 3 protagonists exist is just to be selebrated the 10th aniversary.
I just still can't think of , at least, good plot in which all 3 protagonists to take place, and the plot not to sound wierd.
The only thing that comes in my mind, is in Neo Domino to appear some freaky evil guy or thing, and Yusei not to be able to handle with it on his own. Some magic stuff revive Dark Yugi and Judai to help. Or all of a sudden, all 3 of them somehow get into some strange place which have nothing to do with Neo Domino or with the present in 5D'S.
Ohhhh what am I talking, even this sounds wierd.
What big, important, world problem would exest to gather them together?
Aaaaaah, I just begin to think that all this stuff with the 3 main characters will turn out to be a complete fallacy, which isn't much encouraging.
I really pray to be wrong, but you know what happens when a human begins to think too much.

Well I had an idea about what could go down with the special, have Judai come back and go all evil only this time in the real world. First he could challange Yusei, to try and take him out, I mean he already duled Yugi. Him thinking Yugi was a peace of cake since becoming evil does that to you, would make sense. So evil Judai would want to see if Yusei would be a challange.Than it'd take the combined efforts of Yusei and Yugi to defeat him. He'd want to rule the world like he did in that weird dimension world. Maybe it could end with Yusei and Yugi admiring each other and deciding to duel. Meh It was just an idea. This way we'd get a Yusei V.S Judai duel and a Yusei V.S Yugi duel. But yah I'd like it if the sidekicks were in it too, but its cool.

I personally would rather have the three team up then fight each other. :/

Hmm Friends eh? Well maybe there could be a tournament and Yugi/Judai/Yusei all enter in it. I wonder if Yugi and Judai should be adults?? If there going to be in Yuseis time line they better be, can't stay young forever LOL. The only way I could see Yusei dueling the younger selfs of Yugi and Judai would be if they came into the future to stop some evil being with the help of Yusei.

Well that's a good point for the plot and may be the only normal reason to gather them together in one 30 munite OVA.

Sounds sensible. Especially if it's matched with cool animation.
I'll take a really deep breath and will wait till october.
Hope only that a preview or just more info will appear soon, cuz all that suspense is killing me.

well if the special isn't for a few more months.. perhaps they will continue the opening animation sequences like this:

-Yugi
-Judai
-Yusei
----
-Kaiba (rival to Yugi)
-Manjoume (rival to Judai)
-Jack (rival to Yusei)
----
-Joey (best friend/supporting teammate)
-Johan (best friend/supporting teammate)
-Crow (best friend/supporting teammate)

To me this makes sense because all 3 characters have VERY comparable qualities and are all pretty important. Yugi, Judai, and Yusei are the main characters. Kaiba, Manjoume, and Jack are the rivals... and Joey, Johan, and Crow are the support role / friends / 3rd "main" characters.

Anyway, I'd really like to see them all animated within the weeks to come. If either Kaiba or Joey show up next week, then I'd honestly be surprised if they DIDNT include the others I mentioned xD

I WANT GIRLS!!!

I would say Mai, Asuka & Aki.

Given this is a Short, which in my mind implies something under 10-minutes in running time, surely the likelihood of any duel action is incredibly low? I could much more plausbily imagine some omake-esque thing, kinda like the FMA Chibi Party that was with the Conquerer of Shamballa movie.

It's true that usually the OVA might be from a few minutes to two hours or more, but an episode length of 30 minutes is quite common. Short is anime single episode which doesn't mess up with the plot and isn't a part of the series.
So, unfortunatelly in our case, OVA and SHORT are identical.
This special YGO episode will last only 30 minutes, and this is a real info - http://www.animenation.net/blog/2009...ies-announced/.
The only info we need in the moment is the airing date and the included characters. A preview would be enough.

We all hoped for a length longer than 30 minutes, but we have to gratify with this.

The tour screenings will begin October 12th. The feature film of One Piece is this December’s tenth. So I guess YGO will release its OVA some day between October 12th and December 10th.

If there is ever going to be an OVA, I hope they make it at least into three short episodes:

1. What happened to Yugi & Co. all these years.

2. What happened to Judai & Co. Did Judai "grow up?"

3. A little spin-off series of Yusei and Co. possibly a duel wth one of the original DM characters.

I'l really love to see Yami Marik and Yami Bakura back, but unfortunately they're dead.
