This could also be a DBZ effect like how Trunks travels to the past but that opens a new doorway of trouble that's even worse. This may inflict Paradox's intent, also a paradox in itself. Wow, well, we'll have to see the movie ourselves in order to fully know how it'll happen or otherwise we may expect a bit much.
We can only hope that he will be a villain with depth, considering he is the only villain in YGO history to ever cross all three series and beat the hell out of the protagonists and then force them to have to Duel against him at the same time.

If you mean the scene in the second official trailer on the movie site when Yusei seems to accelerate ahead on his bike (similarly to Dark Glass), that scene could be his time slip, actually. Time slip is time travel via supernatural times, and considering one of the screenshots showed Crimson Dragon along Yusei in the 5D's period, it could be possible it aided Yusei in time travel. After all, one of its servants are in danger, Stardust is bonded with Yusei as well, so they have to go after it.

If you mean Yusei using Accel Synchro during the duels, I don't know if that would happen - first of all, it would spoil the already snail-slow season 3 (I mean, Yusei would have to learn how to use them, no? You'd expect an episode dedicated to that...) and by the looks of it, Paradox is going to have a ground duel with the protagonists. Ergo, no accel synchro, unless they could be summoned without a riding duel.

I was thinking about the timeline, and came up with the following versions, depending on what the roof scene/mansion scene is about:

    Version 1
    1. Yusei and co. are on the highway in Neo Domino City
    2. Paradox arrives from the future
    3. Paradox and Yusei duel
    4. Paradox takes Stardust Dragon and travels into the past
    5. Crimson Dragon appears and assists Yusei with a time slip
    6. Yusei ends up in the GX period, where he encounters Judai in the most unusual place (The ruined roof)
    7. The two agree to depart to the DM period
    8. They meet Yugi and asks him for his help
    9. Paradox is in the past (1984/5) where he attacks Pegasus' mansion
    10. The trio arrives in from the DM period and try to stop Paradox, but they fail
    11. Paradox tests their powers, curb stomps them and kills Pegasus in the process
    12. Grandfather Paradox occurs (Glass shattering effect while the trio is black and white)
    13. After this/Before this/During this, the trio warps back into the DM period (That white aura appears around them - see here)
    14. They challenge Paradox to the final duel ("Let's end this!")

    Version 2
    1. Yusei and co. are on the highway in Neo Domino City
    2. Paradox arrives from the future
    3. Paradox and Yusei duel
    4. Paradox takes Stardust Dragon and travels into the past
    5. Crimson Dragon appears and assists Yusei with a time slip
    6. Yusei ends up in the GX period and meets Judai
    7. They encounter Paradox at an ambiguous location (the mansion)
    8. Paradox tests their skill and sees he's strong enough, departs for Pegasus' time and kills him
    9. Grandfather Paradox occurs
    10. Judai and Yusei appear in the wrecked roof scene, which is actually some dimensional space for erased timelines/new future (Somehow.)
    11. They agree to work together, they somehow get sent back to the DM period (again, white aura), find Yugi and challenge Paradox for the final duel

Or, ehh... I don't know. I kind of lost it after the first half on both lists. I'd say I'm certain on the events until the arrival in the GX period. We know too little about that goddamn mansion. (Whoever it belongs to won't be happy about the damage caused to their property, however...)

Also, I'd like to point out that the sky looks somewhat similar in both of these scenes:

Same area/period, perhaps? Maybe some time has passed when we see Judai and Yusei in the same location, which would explain the lack of the sun in those scenes.

EDIT (To the below post): Starry, that picture never gets old. I've seen it on PTDC, though. EPIC, you know it's true.
I like the first scenario better, IMO.

So . . . which season of Duel Monsters do you think Yusei and Judai arrive in to meet Yuugi?

Something tells me Doma or that mysterious gap between Battle City and Pharaoh's Memory where Yuugi dueled Judai.

Why DO I hate Yusei's tiny guts? Wonder no longer: http://forum.janime.eu/entries/1378-...sei-Fudou-quot

And to do it all in 50 minutes. The duel, the acts, the character development. Quite challenging! But if they did it well (and I'm sure they did, for such a movie!), then it's not impossible. He is hyped as the "greatest enemy", after all.

Let's see. As things are standing now, the Movie Pack is regarded as fake, hence no Sin Gandora or anything. Yugi does have the chains and the Duel Disks, so it's definitely during Battle City or after it. He still has the Puzzle, so it has to be before the Ceremonial Duel. We don't have enough clues to be able to pin a specific period.

If it's during Doma, then it has to be the beginning of the arc, as Atem is stuck without Yugi after his duel with Rafael until the end.

And remember guys, Anison Plus Special in the noon/tonight! (Keyhole -> Tv Tokyo, as usual)

    Two interesting versions, Arynis.

The first version seems me more logical.

For Accel Synchro, for the moment, Yusei don't know how use it. So, we can suppose that It's thanks to Crimson Dragon that Yusei can go in the past. The fact that Crimson Dragon appears during his duel against Paradox in his era supports this idea.

On the picture, maybe Paradox and Judai are both in the ruined future ?

It's possible they can screw it up, as this is NAS we're talking about. But from the few things we know about Paradox so far, he's looking quite promising.

I'm pretty sure they won't specify what time frame it is we're dealing with, at least for Yugi. Or if they do it will be a very small clue that you would have to look for. The only logical options are during Battle City, immediatly after Battle City/pre-Doma, right at the start of Doma, or immediately after their return from the KC Grand Prix. IMO, the best option of all of these would be before the Doma arc or right before the Memory arc.

It's possible Paradox shows them a vision somehow.

    Good idea ! I didn't think a this possibility.

50 minutes seems me very short in timing. The movie must be very quick in plot in that case.

It depends on how they do it really. 1 hour and 30 minutes of slow-paced action and talking may actually not be as good as 50 minutes of high-paced action and fast moving plot. I would have to see the movie to determine if they did it right though.

I prefer see a short movie but a good movie rather than a long movie which certain scene are not good. It's possible to do all in 50 minutes but it seems me short because the movie must talk of a lot events.

I think now it's high time to accept the fact that the movie will be 50 minutes. This doesn't make it less supreme. And it could've been worse. Remember when was said it would be 30 minutes. That would've been really bad.

Completely off topic but, why doesn't Takahiro Kagami (the guy doing the movie animation) do some episodes for Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. With Hara, it would be two to three awesome animated episodes every 10 weeks (instead of 1 every 10 weeks ~ true during the 1-75 episode era).

I just hope that after this movie comes out, we get to see Kagami doing some episodes. I just really miss the awesome Yu-Gi-Oh! DM episodes he did, esp. episode 140!!

After seeing Death Note, please bring Kagami back. One episode, just one will please me. Or even better, back to back Kagami and Hara episodes during the Grand Prix between some awesome character and another awesome character!!

And I miss DM and Kagami's YGO animation, but I guess it'll remain typical only for the DM series. Well....and for the movie.

For me, Kagami does quite a good job fitting alot of information into a limited time frame. Remember the Death Note episodes, he would cover so much in 23 mins and still make it awesome. Unlike other lazy aniamtors, Kagami uses alot of frames per episode and you rarely see scenes where characters do nothing (if they are staring at something, the eye pupils jiggle alittle XD).

With this movie, I reckon it can be good. It is Kagami's animation and he hasn't let us down on animation, let alone the awesomeness.

That would be pretty sweet. We'll see if Kagami is staying or not. Or they spent all their budget on the movie and Kagami...

Based on the Version 1 timeline mentioned in my post, I tried to make a graph of the movie timeline. Sorry about the mess.

    Wait, what?

It's not even 2 AM in Japan yet, which is the time Anison Plus should begin... isn't this a different show? It should have the Anison Plus logo in the upper corner if it were that show...

My computer isn't even set up yet for recording sakdhasjda

    Oh, wait... BINGO!

I took a look at the Anison Plus artist list, and I saw T-Pistonz+KMC there. Coincidentally enough, Takasugi Jay Jirou wrote a post about being with those guys. When I saw the guy doing the plus sign, I guessed he would be related to Anison Plus. I wasn't off.

Would this mean Jirou might appear in Anison Plus as well? Which should mean...

    Hopefully?

Kagami do a beautiful work. I hope he will work on 5d's.

A little off-topic, but TV Tokyo had this awesome New Years show. A classical concert with a space shot of Earth behind them. Pretty awesome. They also contacted the International Space Station.

And we're 2 hours away from the Anison Plus Special! The issue is, Keyhole is lagging like hell and it's almost impossible to get into the channel broadcast. |: Which is rather problematic as far as the recording is concerned... Or just watching the broadcast in general.

The movie isn't hyped on the Anison Plus site, though. At most, we could be getting a little blurb again like last time.

    EDIT:

10 minutes to go. Keyhole is dead for me. I don't think I'll be able to record anything like this, sorry guys.

I suppose we'll have to rely on 2ch/Newwise BBS.

For me it isn't, there is a program airing like The Academy, or something like that.

I keep getting "Login times out. Check your network." Oh well.

So if you can watch it, could you tell us what happened and such? Give us a summary?

    Dang! It's alright, though.

40 minutes left of the broadcast, and Keyhole is still dead as of the time of posting. I doubt it would come back up anytime soon...

But something tells me it is not going to air or Japan changed its time?
because it was 10 minutes past the hour and TV Tokyo still had that program airing.

Maybe they were delayed a little? I'm pretty sure I got the right time...

    http://live24.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/...us/1262270553/

The closest I found was this, it seems to be a live chat for tonight's broadcast. There were some links in the beginning (stream links?) but without knowing exactly what do they do, I didn't check them out.

    From the same 2ch thread:

For what I could understand it looks like the show will be broadcasted on Monday at 3:45AM. Japan Time.

Oh, and I could enter to keyhole again, and that program of karaoke of anime songs is still airing xD

That might be referring to the regular show? The advertising schedule had the 1st of January broadcast written in it, aka the special.

2chan and Newwise BBS has no information on the Anison Plus broadcast at all... *glares at Keyhole* Yeah, it does work now.

The other possibility I could think of is the night of 1st of January, but wouldn't that be written as 2:10 AM - 3:40 AM 2nd of January?

well, theres no update in the Anison plus site, so it didn't aired. I think.
*lol, stares at the BBcode for the font letter*

Edit: And now keyhole is dead again.

I did some research in the Anison Plus threads on 2chan. But I found extremely little information, and the fact that there wouldn't be at least one person in the YGO section who would write down a summary/post screenshots is insane. Or just comment with a "Oh snap I missed it!" Which actually leaves me confused exactly when this broadcast took/will take(?) place.

I suppose everyone is off to sleep or party now. We might see something tomorrow.

That would be awesome. They'd be an unstoppable force!
But I don't think it's that likely, when he could be working on something bigger than 5D's. It doesn't have the greatest ratings in Japan.
I wonder why there haven't been any Hara episodes as of late though... I think the last time we saw anything from Hara was the very end of episode 73 in 5D's, when Dark Glass confronted the gang.

I wouldn't be surprised if he/she decided to move on from Yugioh too, some other studio offering a better position.
It's not like the only good animator is Hara though. The Crashtown episodes have been looking good, and even though some animators have very distinct styles, it doesn't mean they're bad. (an example is whoever did episode 82, the style of 'panda-eye Yusei')

Its like I told you, now that I have looked at the anison Plus website again, it looks like it didn't upload the episode like it did last time.
Look at the top of the page, there's where I got that info.
And where there says "Anitere Presents: Anison plus" Next to this theres an announce that says it would be on Air in Monday 3:15-3:45 AM. Japan Time.
And the repeat will be on Tuesday at the same time.

    Edit:
Now that I take a good look at it, it seems that the one that is going to air on Monday is another one.

In this page it says is going to air from 12:00 to 1:30AM on Sunday.

Well, now Hara does the Character design with Maruyama Shuji (The person that has been making the Character design since the first episode).
And the last one was on episode 72, When Sherry faced Yusei and their duel didn't conclude.

The ratings were good the first two seasons though, weren't they? The only reason they plummeted is because the plot basically jumped shark....
It's almost like a completely different anime.

Hmm, it also says BS Japan airs it in that time, which is not available on Keyhole.

The 2ch thread I linked was related to this show, it seems. I couldn't find any YT video featuring anything related to the movie, but that one should make Bakura fans happy at least. Rica Matsumoto sings the Pokemon openings, heh.

On a positive note, the movie's only three weeks away! Not too long left...

Anison Plus did indeed air tonight. Don't worry, I got the footage! Although I wish the dates weren't so ambiguous. I mean, if you say "1 January 2 AM", I assume it is in the morning of 1 January, not 2 January. Oh well...

There wasn't much going on, this is a short segment (1 minute 20 seconds) but Atsushi and the band members commented briefly. You can also hear the theme song in the background.

Quality isn't the best, and the audio lags a bit. Sorry about that, but that's the best I could do with Keyhole.

Don't worry Arynis. You've done a great job.
We'll see if 2chan and bbs.newwise will publish something too, but even if they don't, I think we're quite satisfied - we were able to hear almost everything from the theme song, and it really sounds cool.

Until January 20, that video will satisfy my anxiety for makemagic, especially with it playing in the background. That's when the full version comes out (or TV size . . . I wouldn't mind either way.), right?
But, January 17, 2010 - January 23, 2010 will be the best birthday week ever for any die-hard YGO fan born in on or in between any of those days. I seriously cannot wait much longer for this week to come.

Interesting enough I guess. At least I know more than ever now that this theme song kicks ass. When will it be released anyway?
