Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Sorry for my misunderstood. I read again and I undertood this time.
I think too. They shown a lot of scenes of the duel in pictures and about the duel since it during 8 turns, we know almost each scene. Come back at usual opening was sure: they shown us each scenes in the order of the film next each opening and ending. I prefered the scene when Paradox arrives for the first time in Neo Domino City. Hair following the wind !
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
LOL ! XD ! Thanks a lot Arynis !
I imagine Paradox waiting Yusei for a duel, not Yusei who find him, I don't know why. I imagine him win against Yusei because he is really powerful and the King of Duelists !
...
Wait...
There already a King of the Duelists...
Sorry Yugi !
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
The specific title Yusei won from Jack was "King of Riding Duels." Sometimes shortened to "Duel King."
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Yugi is the first hero who become King of Duelists. He has a strategy different of most of the duelists, It's his strength. I think his deck is very interesting in comprison of others.
That's true, Yusei is called "New King" by Carly and Angela in his article, in opposition to Jack, who is called "Former King".
EDIT: Question answered very precisely. Thanks Makoeyes987 !

Can anyone string together every single opening clip of the movie in order they were shown? Same for the ending. I want to post it onto my FB but I don't want to post like 8-9 links. Thanks in advance!
I'm watching you...

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Hi there,
I recently found this fanart and tried to read the description and it says something of Paradox and the Protagonists dancing the makemagic song at the end of the movie.
Can someone confirm this.
Also, YAY if this is true ^^

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Heh........it would be at least interesting if it's true...especially since I imagined them singing (not dancing) in some cool 10th anniversary video clip to a song sang by their main VAs. xD Just imagine Yusei and Dark Yugi playing a guitar and Yugi and Judai singing in the same time. xD Then after a particular time all 4 of them singing together. xD Eh...dreams...dreams. xD
Anyway, I guess if that was true, XWZ Dragon Cannon would've informed us when he did his long movie summary. He confirmed Judai making "Jounoushi-Kagami" crazy face xD, so I guess that fanart is just a fanart. And besides, it seems a little funny to me seeing the 3 protagonists dancing at that song.....I don't know.....singing would be much better I guess. xD

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Oh, thanks for the explanation Arynis.
I didn't saw that. I was avoiding spoilers at that time.
I was saying to myself: "if this is true then I'm gonna laugh everytime I see this".
That would have been extremely funny if we saw Yami Yugi and Yusei dancing makemagic xD
Singing would also be cool, but I guess they would be the chorus since Paradox VA is the one singing xD

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
If the song is "makemagic", you're probably right.......but imagine if there was a special 10th anniversary song where all 3 main VAs take part and sing together...xD...and even imagine an awesome video clip to this song where the protagonists sing and play guitar xD (Yusei and Atem playing guitar and Yugi and Judai singing at first place, then after a particular time all 4 of them begin to sing xD) What a crazy idea...ha...? xD
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
No probs. You can find the summary in the first post of the thread if you want to read it. ^^
As for the characters dancing to makemagic, there's always this fanart. =D

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Oh, yeah. Speaking of makemagic's PV...
That squid in the beginning, you know they are totally doing it on purpose. SHOCK-F! =D
(Paradox's hair resembles a squid.)
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Thanks Arynis ! Nice video ! They even thought to show the squid !
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
I got my copy of the 10th Anniversary Animation Book today. I'd like to add that just like how 5D's had a "CONNECT TO 5D's" section, GX also has its respective "CONNECT TO GX" section, although the ties in that one are rather obvious.
I could try providing scans as well.

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
I only scanned the covers so far, because I still need to figure out how could I scan the book without bending it too much. (Derp.)
The Animation Book also explains how the seasons of each arc goes.
Also, I made an update to the Yugioh timeline Wiki page - the movie's timeline is now available as well. http://wiki.janime.eu/index.php?titl...Movie_Timeline

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
True that. I'll try checking the Animation Book's Connect to 5D's page to see if I can find anything on it... But we know that it can't be too long since Ushio is still around.
Thanks Allana! :]

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Well this already is very important and useful info. Must be added somewhere in the main site or in Janime Wiki.
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
You forgot Episodes 41-51 for the Original, although that might have been omission since they didn't really do anything.
I get the impression the WRGP will run until Episode 128, making the Season 64 Episodes (26+38). But I hope not; even now that it's on track, it's waaaaaaaaaaaay to slow and menatanous [sp?].
As for the movie's Soundtrack, it seems fine; but it's less than stellar, and not enough new music. I think that they should have put Wicked Spirit to Sin Truth's Summoning. Just seems to fit.
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Yeah, I'm aware of it, but the Book simply didn't list them. I updated the Wiki pages accordingly, but I preserved the listings for the filler arcs after Duelist Kingdom.
Various blogs mentioned the movie did have new BGM, but the Nicovideo I linked didn't list them for obvious reasons. There are several new ones you can hear (I can't recall hearing these in the series ever):
Yusei, Jack and Crow riding on the highway
Paradox stealing Stardust Dragon
Paradox standing on the Basilica (Lasts for a few seconds, the music playing in the other Basilica scene is Catharsis from 5D's Sound Duel 2.)
Paradox departing into the past
Distant Future's Demise
Last edited by Arynis : 03/06/10 at 10:34 PM Reason: Added another new BGM.
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Is there any info on this BGM? it sounds freaking awesome and I don't think i've heard the theme on the series at all

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
If you mean the one playing during the "cards are falling into the planet" scene, it does. I thought it was a new BGM, but I was unsure because it sounds similar to the later half of "The Big Quake". On a second listening, they sound quite different... I'll add it to the list. I wish they would release that "victory music" which plays during the VAs' scenes, though. ):
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Thats the one I meant, the theme that plays when the VA's talk ^^' (sorry for not being more pesific )

Was it stated somewhere in the movie that Paradox is the most powerful enemy? Because the taglines of the movie refered him as such, and I am interested if it was mentioned in the movie

Yeah, pretty much this.
On a side note, I started a Wiki page for the 10th Anniversary Animation Book. There's not much up yet, though - only the cover and some of the info about the book itself. XD
Oh, and I found the person who used to host JumBANG! #42 on Youtube again, so links to JumBANG!'s January 22 broadcast are available again.

The TCG name for the sin monsters is released, they are called Malefic.

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
He meant that the "Sin" Monsters were changed to "Malefic" Monsters.
I don't like it at all. Sure, censorship and whatnot, but it utterly kills every meaning "Sin" managed to build up so far. "Sin" of mankind, Paradox's guilt, truth, "new"... ): With Malefic, there's only a sense of "evil", which might build up the wrong image. Can Paradox be considered evil? Although you could tie it to Paradox's view of the humans who destroy their environment and themselves, but still. Gah.

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Wild Mass Guessing ahead! This is crack, people. Pure crack. As such:
[Theory]
So today me and Ary were talking about the Sin monsters and all their symbological meanings. And my mind, still very sleep-addled, might I note, decided to create some new ones. More specifically: numerology.
So we know there are 7 Sin monsters. Now let's see what my (two-second) search revealed about the meaning of the number 7.
You can read for yourself here, but here are some highlights.
Oh, hello there, Sin Truth! The 7 Life Path is the searcher and seeker of truth.
If Paradox managed to build his D-Wheel on his own... Well, yeah. Of course, we're not sure about that. You posses a fine mind; you are an analytical thinker who is capable of great concentration and theoretical insight.
My, where have we seen that before? You enjoy your solitude, preferring to work alone. You need time to contemplate your ideas without the intrusion of other's people's thoughts. You are a lone wolf, a person who lives by your own ideas and methods.
However, all this privacy and solitude can cause isolation and loneliness. The 'no other people alive' part didn't make his solitude much of a choice, but it does sounds strikingly familiar. If isolation is brought to extreme, you can become cynical and suspicious. You can develop hidden, selfish motives, which people may sense and cause them to be uncomfortable around you.
Since Paradox considers the past something to be experimented on, without regard for the people who actually live in that past...You must especially watch out for selfishness and egocentricity, thinking of yourself as the center of the universe, as the only person who really matters.
----
So, here you go, something to think about!

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
The article with the theories about Sin Monsters' symbolism is quite impressive, I have to admit it. Especially the part about Sin Truth Dragon. I'm not a person of analyses and theories, but honestly, each time I read such analyses about DM, I begin to wonder if Takahashi himself along with the people who made DM, and those making the movie are truly such philosophers and psychologists cuz all these impressive coincidences you guys found and continue to discover are just unbelievably incredible and at some point just lift up the entire anime on a greater level.
Thank you for clearing things up once again.
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
Yess, you posted it! Great find, Heleen. I'd totally rep you for it but I'm not allowed to.
[Theory]
I'd like to add these:
"Sin" was written with the kanji (真 shin) meaning "truth" and "reality" in the 02/2010 issue of V-Jump.The 7 Life Path is the searcher and seeker of truth.
Perhaps you could mention his viewpoint of his doings as an "experiment" here? You posses a fine mind; you are an analytical thinker who is capable of great concentration and theoretical insight. You enjoy research and putting the pieces of an intellectual puzzle together. Once you have enough pieces in place, you are capable of highly creative insight, and of practical solutions to problems.
Paradox was cynical about other humans, claiming they are just destroying everything. He wanted to correct the world. If isolation is brought to extreme, you can become cynical and suspicious. You can develop hidden, selfish motives, which people may sense and cause them to be uncomfortable around you.
...Literally.Social contract gives you perspective on yourself and on life, while too much isolation can make you too narrow, and even shut off from the rest of the world.
So that's why he may have tried to restore the future, huh? Also, I believe that he wasn't quite open to the protagonists' knowledge... but then again, the protagonists didn't cooperate much, either. XDYour challenge in life is to maintain your independence without feeling isolated or ineffectual. You must hold fast to your unique view of the world while at the same time being open to others and to the knowledge they have to offer.
And GX has lots of alchemy. Lots of delicious alchemy. So does 5D's.
And they indeed do. To quote my mantra:
While some series need to be picked apart and have their concepts explained in a simplified manner in order to understand them, it is the opposite with Yu-Gi-Oh! - one needs to complicate things in order to fit everything together perfectly. And when they do, only then one will see how wonderful this crazy series is. =D

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
It is horrible. I looked up the definition of Malefic, and I got:
1) To assert a malice or negative influence (which doesn't fit very well)
OR
Malefic Planet: A Planet whose gravity has a negative impact on the orbit of other planets (which makes even less sense)
It basically shows that they're trying to show us they can use a thesaurus.
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
This translation is HORRIBLE ! It don't correspond. It is obvious translators hadn't read the Kanji use to write the word Sin. If they did it, they would have seen Sin means New.

Alright, I collected every promotional video I could and now I'm putting together all the clips as they should come in order. It won't be 100% accurate of course, but I will try my best with the order.
Right now, the video is complete up to Paradox summoning Judai.<--- I kept this because it was too good of a typo to pass up...
I mean, the video is complete up to Paradox summoning Stardust Dragon against Judai.
ETA: The arrangement is complete up to the point where the three protagonists encounter Paradox in Domino City, after Yugi was taken back in time.

Soo they took out 'Sin' for the sake of possibly religion reasons? *looks at cards with the word 'angel' in the title* Oh yeah, makes sense, TOTALLY >_>
Well would this mean we'll get a dub of the movie I guess? I can already see the dub making Paradox EXTREMELY ALL BAD GUY than the questioning original Paradox, where we wonder if he really IS a bad guy? Blah, I'm sure his attitude will be similar to dub!Dartz maybe. Oh yeah, for dub voices, what voice would fit Paradox, I wonder? I actually can imagine Wayne Grayson doing his voice or, oh oh, Sean Schemmel! Seriously, hearing Paradox do his screams like when he morphs with Sin Truth Dragon and its with THAT voice, man that'll sound SO cool..Or like for once 4Kids can get another well-known VA for him like Johnny Yong Bosch, Vic Mignogna, Richard Epcar, etc etc
