Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
No additional footage, no footage taken away. The original movie is untouched.
And yeah. This would work as a refresher (Paradox and his plan would make much more sense with the additional details known from the anime), and they are trying to avoid losing sales from pirating, I suppose.
The Zexal footage will be in 2D.
Roughly 60 Minutes: (1) The Original Film: 49 Minutes (3D) + (2) Japanese Special Edition Video: 10 Minutes (2D)
It's not known if it would air on TV in Japan, but I believe 4Kids is planning a TV airing of the English movie for later on.
Also, this is unrelated, but I'd like to start a new thread for the movie. This one is quite bloated (~3600 posts), and having a fresh thread for the Encore Run / Dub release would be nice.

Shit... that's a real damper on my night. I don't care about Zexal enough to want a 10 f***ing minute preview for it... Oh well, can't be helped.

I feel deeply saddened by this news, dare I say also a sence of Zetsubo.
My own theory is the team are desperate to promote the next series.
Yoshida: Zexal, THAT'S our next series?
Writers:...Yeh, we kind of ran out of ideas and thought, Pokemon still sells well.
Yoshida: Jesus, how the hell will we sell this shit to the masses. At least the characters will have cool designs.
Artist: Here you go, my best work since Aporia if I do say so myself.
Yoshida:.......we are so screwed.
Evil NAS marketing man: Wait, I have an idea, we can put a preview in the movie rerun.
Yoshida: How well that help
Evil NAS Marketing Man: Come now, a good trailer can make even the biggest pile of shit look good. Just look at the Matrix revolution.
Yoshida: Let it be done.
Takashi: I'M RICH, I'M A SELL OUT, WHO WANTS TO PLAY MAGIC?

Well, that was something I didn't expect....AT ALL! Truly, ZeXal don't seem that much bad, but this additional footage should have been made as...I don't know....extended trailer or something....but its place isn't definitely in the movie's running time! That was too much already!
People like to say that angry women, and the women with money are like lunatics with machine guns. Since I'm in a "very good mood", why I am not in Japan right now?

Re releasing the movie with nothing truely extra is a poor incentive and I suspect many fans will not bother to go see it. The whole thing has been promoted as having something really cool and a good reason to see it again, and what do we get, Yugioh the loli series trailers.
Hugely disappointing.

Reading the posts above....
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....(endless)
Why NAS? Why do you treat us like that?
Seriouly people!
I was one of the people that said when this news of the new Yugioh came that the extra footage will be about that (I read it from Slifer) and then you tell me that the extra footage is apart from Zexal and then it was proven wrong and looks like Slifer was right >_<
I know its not your fault btw, b-but... this doesn't sounds good, even if I had it already in mind.

Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds That Transcend Time~
I don't think anyone would have known back then what the "footage" was about until we got the announcements about Zexal. And the representatives would be obviously silent about it, and it would have been too early to say "new series trailer" back in August. Even Takahashi said he was supposed to be very hush hush about it.
If you meant my comments on the situation, I am sorry. I wasn't aware of it either until now, and just like many others, I too expected exposition and movie expansion of some sort. I settled on "maybe it's Zexal stuff, maybe it's not" when Zexal was announced and more clues appeared.
Regarding Slifer's post on the footage being about Zexal, it only said it would premiere the new series, but I saw no mentions of the 10 minute special video, and thus I assumed it would go like "movie + 10 minute extra movie footage + Zexal trailer". I didn't understand where Nintendo World BBS got their information on the 10 minute footage being about Zexal, either.
Or, if Slifer's post did point this out, then I didn't read/understand her post right and suffered of a language fart on my part.
Considering we don't even know when the DVD is coming out, and right now there is no other way to experience the movie apart from "going by memory" summaries, being able to see the movie again in any form is just a good reason in itself. Not to mention that people could refresh their memories on Paradox and his intentions now that 5D's has spilled the beans.
It says "Special Edition Video", so I would guess it would be a standalone thing.
I am sorry. Like I told above to Ryusaki, I wasn't certain about Slifer's post because she didn't mention the special video anywhere, leading me to think it would be "movie + movie footage + Zexal presentation".

Oh, okay then.
Well, they are milking the fans. What can we do?
I started a new thread to anticipate the English release and the eventual DVD releases. Right here: http://www.janime.eu/threads/53204-Y...ds-Beyond-Time
May I request a lock for this thread, then?

There wasn't a special video it was just a superstition or so I thinked. Also You don't have to be sorry, I said it in my post, that was a wild guess and who could have thought that the special feature would be Zexal?
I was with that theory because for me it looked plausible and bad for us fans of the 3 previous series more than the one just announced. (also, now that I remember, at that time we didn't know it was Zexal, just a new series)
