They use all the stock art. I don't think there is stock art of Jaden as an 18 year old.

Both images are nothing who knows what, but still thanks for sharing.
I still hope some cool wallpapers will appear soon in the japanese movie website.

I really hope that Elemental Hero Neos Knight isn't the exclusive card.

Hey guys. Sorry to be off-topic, but can someone please translate the Japanese lines I pasted? I can barely know what it means.

This is related to the movie, right? Because if so, it's saying something like "In order to make this piece 100 minutes long, on the occasion that it airs on TV, some of the content will be cut as appropriate."

I'm skeptical because nothing we've got so far said it'd be close to 100 minutes, and I thought the added footage is only supposed to be around 10 minutes.

I've read on the last Japanese sentence that says "ノーカット&ワイドLD版" (LD = laserdisc)
meaning uncut and widescreen Laserdisc version. I didn't get the LD version, instead I have "Gamera vs. Barugon" on DVD that contains a 100-minute wide-screen version, so I think it's the same as the LD version.

Their habit of using stock art for absolutely every piece of promotional material is getting really annoying. I know they're having some financial trouble, but you mean to tell me they don't have the money to draw one new freaking picture?

It won't be. It's likely to be Sin Red-Eyes, as with the Japanese release.

Stock arts always look cool to the little kids...ummm..."fans". xD Probably something new (at least about art) will appear once the kids become disinterested, which won't happen soon.

I don't even think 4kdis has the ability to draw images. What they are using is what they are given, always. If they were given a new drawing, they could use that too.

Even this way, new drawing won't appear util kids are satisfied with the old arts.
BTW, who's giving drawings to 4KID'S? I thought they make them themselves. That's why they always look ridiculous. xD

They are given stock art from which they PS stuff together. Or at least that is what I assume. I also assume NAS or TV Tokyo gives the stock art.

I thought the stock art originated from NAS/Konami.

Anyhow, updated the main post with the trailer links and the English Movie site.

Oh, thought to mention they added a link on the movie website to a movie contest which is begins today. 17 is the age limit though, but still, why not enter if you can.

In the past I've worked on licenced products such as Winnie The Pooh and The Simpsons. What happened in those instances is that you recieve a disc and folder from the licencer which has all the images you can use (characters, typefaces, backgrounds etc) and the Pantone colours you are allowed to use (for those who don't know what Pantones are, they are a universal colour referencing system which ensures that the referenced colour would match whatever the product or manufacturer). Once you have created your design you submit it to the licencer to get approval (ensuring your idea fits in with the brand identity).

So, following on from what Cohen was saying, I would assume that 4Kids do not have the licencing material for Season 4 GX and therefore has to use old licencing images. However, I'm not sure why they wouldn't have it as they will have paid their licencing fee for both the GX brand and the 10th Anniversary movie (which would have it's own licencing disc/folder anyway) and I would also imagine that NAS or TV Tokyo or whoever would have wanted the 4Kids ad campaign to be as accurate as possible so I don't know why the new Judai's image is not used.

Anyway, I still like the logo what they did (even if I do like the design of S4 Judai better).

I wouldn't mind traveling to America to watch the movie, no matter it's the english version, and especially considering I haven't left my own country for all of my life. But I'm 20, so there's no chance for me. xD
Anyway....thanks to the good old internet, everyone will be winner and will watch it sooner or later. xD

Not new at all. You're talking about the one on the contest banner right? That's the most common artwork of them out there.

Well, it is new for 4kids. I just don't know why they are already showing his face. Didn't the Japanese wait a few weeks before the premier?

They didn't really wait at all. First was him masked on the website profile, then the trailer and it showed him taking off his mask. His face wasn't a mystery at all.

That's Paradox's art from the Makemagic album, too. As well as that paper cut of him featured at several events, like Tamura's PTA back in December 2009, or the opening event for the movie.

The other stock art-esque art of him would be his character art on the Japanese movie site.

Ah, the front and back stock is pretty cool, but I do happen to like the one 4kids used. I assume they were given the other art too, as Heather suggested.

It would have to be new for 4Kids since Paradox has never appeared in anything else so it's strange that they have access to Paradox stock art and not S4 Judai.

Did they advertise it during the block? I watched from Dragon Ball Z Kai to the end of 5Ds and didn't hear it at all. I only have heard it on Facebook on Friday.

I don't know. Decided to post the video since noone else did. If you are already informed, then ok. It doesn't matter anyway. It's not the greatest movie news we have had till now, so it's very inessential info by itself.

Ah... so it's NAS being cheap with the stock art.

That's a really good point actually. Since Season 4 has never been dubbed they may very well figure that the kids wouldn't recognise Judai (even though he doesn't look thatdifferent and if that's the logic surely the kids would be confused when they see the movie?). But for promotion your logic might be right.

So do they have theater listings yet for the movie in the US? SJ tells me to go to yugiohmovid3d.com, and when I do, it just says listings are coming soon. I want to make sure it is going to be shown near me.

Also, is there a friggin video release date in Japan yet? THe movie came out a year ago now.

No video release until after the US release/Japan's re-release.

While these are not the official listings, Slifer posted these links sometime ago to help with finding theaters which may play the movie in the near future.

For the English Release, the movie will be distributed by Cinedigm. (Note that there is no exact list yet, the following is an approximate guess: )

The following theaters are part of their Certified Theaters Program: http://www.cinedigm.com/findatheatre.html
This might be a list of theaters showing the movie: http://www.kidtoonfilms.com/theatrelocations2.html
Keep an eye on this page as well: http://www.cinedigm.com/alternativecontent.html
On which note, this has been posted in 2CH:

This confirms that the 10 minute extra footage will be of Zexal, and that the encore run will take place between 26 February and 18 March.

And no, still no info on the DVD release for neither the Japanese or the English movie. Sorry.

....Wait, that's not saying the additional footage to the movie...the 10 minutes..is just Zexal crap..is it?

There are new scenes to the movie proper.

Well, fcvk my life. Goddamnit all.

That's just great. Thanks Konami. I'm sure the Japanese are gonna just line up and love paying to see a movie they've seen twice now.

Oh. And there goes that blood vessel in my head. Guess it's to be expected.

It would make sense, though. Konami is using this opportunity to milk the movie some more and promote Zexal. It's just how it works.

We don't know what kind of clip it is, though. It could be a simple promotional clip to somehow tying Zexal into the other series. Although if the controversy Ark mentioned once ("if you want to know the rest of the plot, watch the movie") is anything to go by, I highly doubt it would be the latter.

Konami just destroy the film. Now the movie is a ***.

Maybe we could make a meme along the lines of if anything cool comes into contact with Zexal it gets a Zexual transmitted disease and dies.

Basically, having to watch material and pay for it just to understand the entire story would result in a huge fuss, if this situation is to go by.

No additional footage whatsoever? Just purely Zexal? That's a bit of a waste, but who knows, maybe by then some people can rewatch it since maybe something will appear in the series during the time that maybe they'd want a refresher. Still, they could've just released a DVD for that instead but figured that people would just sub it and won't see in the cinema in the US. Plus to only promote Zexal, of course.

Preview for Zexal must be in 3D, no doubt. Gasp, its as exciting as seeing Justin Beiber in 3D, gaiz!
