Sherry and Bruno appear in a flashback as Yusei remembers everyone he has to fight for, according to the summary.

The Japanese Wiki doesn't seem to make mentions of it, but I recall a blog post mentioning something about Kiryu appearing in a flashback of the movie (who Yusei also remembers, according to the summary), so there must be some truth to it.

In expansion to my previous post, who could voice Yubel? I have yet to see the Japaense version of her/him, so exactly what type of voice did Yubel have?

Priscilla Everett isn't reprising the role? Strange. I dunno... None of the 4Kids staff really match Yubel's Japanese voice well, but I suppose if the person's talented enough...

Ah, I see. Then, of course, there's that little matter of the Crashtown pendant (I'm guessing that was thrown in there to give is a sense of when it takes place, or just to mind-f us.

    EDIT:

Yubel's female voice was much older sounding than over here (since Hiromi Tsuru is about 50), with a calmer, more consistent tone. Basically, she sounded like Judai's psychotic older sister. By Season 4, this is her only voice, and it becomes somewhat snide (less so for the movie) and sarcastic.

Yubel was voiced by a male and a female voice during the Dimension World arcs. After Yubel and Judai fuse, the male voice vanishes, which is assumed to have been the Light of Destruction possessing Yubel. In the movie and the Darkness arc, Yubel is voiced by his/her female voice.

The reason I mention this is because Cassandra Morris, the voice of Yubel, has said she moved to LA. Now unless Konami (in California) could get her to record lines for the movie (small part for sure) we will get a small role for Yubel. Who is this Priscilla Everett? She didn't voice Yubel.

Not really "possessed" so much as "corrupted". But yes, just the female remains (I only mentioned it because of the fact that it's the only one); which is one of the reasons I call Yubel "she/her".

Cassandra Morris is another name for Priscilla Everett. She started going by it in the United States, because she was born in Vancouver, British Columbia (that's right, Yubel is Canadian). She voices {Alexis} and that doll, which is why the voice sounds to similar.

May I ask something? Since I'm not native english speaker and even though my english is OK, I just couldn't grasp it.
SlyferTheSkyDragon said something about that "there'll be additional footage added for the US theatrical release to extend past 50 minutes". Do this mean that 4KID'S are going to lengthen the movie? I know there'll be another trailer, but I read here and there for making the movie longer. O_o
Sorry for the stupid question, but I couldn't understand this well.

He wasn't clear about it. I don't even know if there was a 4kids rep there, all she said is there will be additional footage added. I assume the Konami rep told her this. But someone, let it be NAS or 4kids working with NAS.

(Don't worry, it has nothing to do with not understanding the language)

I wonder what kind of new footage it will be, and if the Japanese version will also have it in the DvD.
    Because otherwise I'll be sad.

I would certainly hope it does. That would be great.

What do we think they're gonna do with the BGMs for the movie? Keep 'em, scrap 'em for new, recycle old BGMs from the dub, combination?

Well, I'm being cautiously optimistic, based on their dubs of the Advanced Generation Pokmon movies, that they'll be kept intact. I mean, I'd love to hear the movie-original stuff, as well as "Passionate Duelists" and the other GX/5D's BGM (if any of them are used in the movie), with the US voices, assuming the scripts are also accurate. The stuff Kirk's been talking about after that podcast also has me hoping they'll do it, but there's always the chance that they won't, since this isn't Pokemon, where little-to-most of the BGM was kept for the episodes as well, as opposed to YGO where none of it was kept.

I am curious to see if they dub "Makemagic," though.

Well I think one reason why the Japanese DVD was delayed was for the new footage to be made, therefore its very likely they will include the new footage.

If the 5D's dub is anything to go by, we'll be lucky if even a single original score stays intact.

Kirk also mentioned about keeping more OST. He did so on a post at the ANN Forums.

I'm guessing they'll either give us exclusive movie promos or the promos that aren't released from the movie yet: Sin Truth Dragon and Sin Red Eyes Black Dragon. (Hopefully we'll get more than just those two, as I'd like Sin Cyber End Dragon, Sin Rainbow Dragon, and Junk Guardna to get released)

That's all cool and everything, but I seriously am not getting my hopes up in the least, that this movie will be released with subtitles once it gets to theaters. It just so happens they've subbed it, and its easier to just paste the subs and show what they have, than quickly rush the voice acting.

Sorry, but that's literally too good to be true.

That's essentially what I thought. Considering the VAs have been bitching about how long and tedious the movie was to do.

Pffft, obviously it won't be subbed in the theatrical release. But if an official subbed version exists then that at least gives hopes for the DVD/Blu-Ray.

    Yeah, one would think that..

I dunno, man. I'm just remembering the first episode premiere of YGO 5Ds at Comic-Con, where they had the original music, original names, and all those other things that got the fans happy. Then we got...well, what we got.

    Wait, you spoke to them?

This is looking quite well, it seems NAS might be providing the subs, meaning all 4kids has to do is grab them. A 20 minute preview will be nice, please let 3D work on my monitor (doubting it wll)

    Really? Is that so?

The only thing I can recall is the VAs announcing in their blogs how they would be doing roles on the movie, and Atsushi Tamura talking about his opinion on recording the voice acting in the Animation Book interviews. (As well as the staff blog talking about Tamura's voice acting performance for Paradox.)

Oh, the Japanese voice actors. Of course it would be tedious for them, because they don't get vacations. It just has to be splashed in on their regular schedules. The American voice actors have a much more laid back schedule, having to meet much longer deadlines. And the show always goes on hiatus for a while.

Awww so I'm gonna record a subbed movie preview in 3D at the con center? Dang, that'd suck if its true =/ I'll still record it when I'm there and if subs are like blurry I'll try remembering what I see.

EDIT: Oh shiz, 20 minutes? I'd record the whole thing but Youtube has that time limit and I can't edit the format my cam records. I'll have to be sure to time it!

Yeah they did. I thought I remember people saying the music was the original back then, along with the sound effects and life point display.

Put it on Dailymotion if it fails. What format is it? AVI?

Not sure, I know it doesn't play on Windows Movie Player/Maker. I believe its a Quicktime file so that might be M4P or MV-something (don't have my camera with me to check what file its formatted)

I'd be really happy if they do indeed keep the makemagic song.

Oh well. As Cohen said, there are other sites which will allow 20 minutes.

Huh. Strange. My camera puts all its videos into AVI format. Oh well.

If you succeed in recording the preview (which I hope you will), just upload it on MegaUpload and link it. Otherwise you'll have to upload it by parts on YouTube and I don't know what file formats the website allows to be uploaded.

No matter what the format is, I think KM Player will read it, since it supports VCD, DVD, AVI, MKV, FLV, MPEG, WMV, OGM, 3GP, OGG and QuickTime among others. x)

Do you know if Corel WinDVD will play the files?

If all else fails there is always Adobe Bridge.

There's always Wikipedia to answer your question. x) Let's first see what file format the recording will eventually be.
But I definitely want also MU link along with the YT videos. I'd really prefer watching the recording on my PC untill we have the movie or the official 4KID'S trailer, cuz YT have the bad habit to delete videos sometimes. The MU link will at least be something permanent. x)
Thanks again Kyte for your efforts. I wish you success when you're there. x)
Otherwise you'll have to tell us the details by memory. xD

I'd just like to note that new footage means new BGMs to cover it. In the Japanese DVD (and hopefully the English one too), there's still a chance for the movie to use music from the mysteriously-missing DM soundtracks.

Mako and I were speculating that if there is going to be genuinely new footage added to the movie rather than 'new-to-the-US' footage, then it is possible we'll see Paradox stealing the Dragons from Kaiba, Jonouchi, Johan and Ryo. It's going to take a reasonable amount of new footage to get this movie to an acceptable running length; occasional added angles and lines of dialogue aren't going to do the trick. In addition, adding any moves to the duel is going to be impossible without changing hands, LP counters, evening screentime between the three duelists and keeping general continuity.

So, the bulk of the new footage is going to have to come from elsewhere in the movie. I can't think of anything that would be more popular with fans -- anywhere in the world -- than seeing Kaiba and Jonouchi again.

SO if they include the scenes of Paradox stealing the dragons would he be stealing Cuber End from Sho since he did inherit Zane's deck? Just something I thought of. If so I guess GX fans can be happy to see the blue haired duo appear in the movie (Johan and Sho)

Let's hope something like this will happen. Seeing Paradox stealing all the dragon cards from the different duelists (even in short scenes) will make the movie more comprehensible.
Not to mention I'd like to hear those missing DM soundtracks.

Like I said, if all else fails, at least record the audio. I am sure there will be some english. if there isn't, we could translate it then.

That would be really awesome to see Paradox stealing the other cards.

I wonder what 4Kids will do about the new footage music-wise. If they intend to keep more of the original, will the movie have music put to it or will they mix the original with there own?

I think they'll keep a lot of the original and put some of their own into the mix.

That really depends on when the card was stolen from. He could have, say, gone back to the end of Hell Kaiser vs Yubel-Johan and stolen the card before Hell Kaiser died. Or sometime else.

State your source. As far as I have seen, there is not one shred of definitive proof as to where he got Cyber End from. If you are trying to state your own personal beliefs as facts, then keep them to yourself.
