    @ Kyte: That's good to hear! =D
    Here's round two:

Listen dude, there's a limit to how far you should be trying to screw with people. Are you honestly telling me that you successfully recorded an entire 49 minutes of footage on your camcorder in a public Japanese theater that frowns on piracy even more than the United States?

A very smart individual going by the name of Greg went through hell to get a mere 2 minutes of footage from the latest One Piece movie (which was probably about three times as packed with people) and he risked going to jail for those mere two minutes. There's no way you were able to record the entire movie.

Now, if you actually prove me wrong and upload this thing, I will take my seat quietly. But I'm not holding my breath and neither should anyone else here reading these comments.
Let's see how much longer this keeps up before he gives up and deletes my comments and/or bans me...

GoldenUmi: He's replied to your comment. No proof, mostly swearing and telling you to go away. I think I'll post a message using another account.

The guy's got "full of shit" written all over his face. He's like a boy caught with his hand in the cookie jar stuttering. But I'm not looking for huge internet drama and swearing, so I won't post anymore for now. I'm just going to join Arnyis with the popcorn eating and enjoy the show. Should be amusing to see how he lies his way of of not having it ready for tomorrow.

Let's see how many visitor messages he'll delete and how many excuses he'll come up with for not uploading the movie. xD The last one sounds very cliched already.

Regarding the popcorn, you might find this picture useful I did sometime ago:

But wow, that person is sure ridiculous for yelling at you like that. Yeah, definitely like a kid whose hand got stuck in a cookie jar and got discovered by his parents.

Anyway, Slifer said that she got from reliable sources saying the movie won't have any additional footage... so now we have two sources stating two different things. Still, that's pretty unfortunate, especially with the amount of time it takes for the movie to be released in the US, as well as the DVD release.

@ Cohen: The Animation Book has an interview with the 3D director and editor for the movie. It's not translated yet, but you can still run it through a machine translator since the transcript is available.

Oh I actually didn't know the preview at the WC will be a subbed one? Okay if that's the case I'll have to definitely record the visual and not just the audio if it were in English dub. I mean, who knows right? Could be one or the other. And it seems the preview and the anime-viewing will be in the same room and convention center rooms like that are usually rather big. Chance of being able to record footage would be really good (would be great if the full thing or more than 15 minutes but if I get the full thing, I'll need someone else who has the program to split into 15 minute cuts since its a Quicktime video file). And I'll also try to record the Q&A with Greg Abbey.
    Go for it man.

I would just like to remind how 3D isn't supposed to be a gimmick (in your face). If Step Up 3D can do it in a non-gimmicky way (enough for me to go see it tonight) then I hope Yugioh did it too. 3D is more like looking into a box with a wall cut (4th wall lol). Perspective.

    Haha, anti theft device!

Oh, so the exact phrase is "These are your melons"? Thanks. (I looked up the "ga" particle but I didn't really get it.) Although that makes even less sense in regards to Pegasus saying it in the Duel Terminal... XD

Certainly. Going by the AxA videos, the Zero Reverse explosion is also going to be in 3D. The show hosts were quite surprised at that one.

Can I get in on this popcorn gig?
    Sure! *hands over popcorn*

@ Cohen: It could be a combination of both "depth view" and gimmicks? I mean, even How To Train Your Dragon had some of the "gimmick" side of 3D, when Toothless was flyng close to the sea and the water was splashing to the sides.

Well, the 3D movies I have seen didn't use it. Toy Story 3 was the most recent.

Yep, anti-theft device. We had a joke on the show Royal Canadian Air Farce; a CGI anti-counterfeiting feature on our newest $20 bill. The bill stops scanning, the person on it says, "You're busted!", and then the guy is dragged into the computer, with his face printed on the duplicate bill.

Yes, that is the phrase. Sounds very Pegasus, does it not?

    Hahahah.

Oh, it so does. It's just totally random, though. XD I'm wondering if it's a reference to the "when life gives you melons" idiom, so basically Pegasus is saying he's got the advantage and the opponent is put at a disadvantage/setback. After all, Pegasus loves using metaphors and making puns...

    Thank you. *Takes handful*

Can I get a clip of JPN Pegasus on the DT? I have been looking around for that for about 20 minutes.

As for the extra scenes, it would be a shame if that was only Konami saying 4kids would add footage from GX and/or DM/5Ds to make it longer. However, I would still like to see the Yugi vs. Jaden dubbed, and I am sure some others do as well. Sure we might not get entirely new footage, but it will be new dub footage all the same. And I would hope for a better dub in that it is a movie and all.

Arynis, do you happen to have a link to that transcript?

I only have Nicovideo links for the Duel Terminal videos due to the ones on Youtube being taken down. If you need a Nicovideo registration guide, here's one.

Thinking about it, it would be interesting if the dub scenes were made into 3D as well, to not make the insertion of them too jarring.

It's in the 10th Anniversary Animation Book thread, linked in my signature. Second post in the thread, look for "Interview With Kunihiko Mita and Motohiko Mizutani (Page 134)".

.....Darn it, mood for popcorn AND hitting the Duel Terminals have RISEN! D=

I can see that the dub would edit some of the 3D effects, maybe either improve or lessen the effect. Its too bad that now we have a reliable source stating that there'll be no additional footage. I'm gonna have to get to the bottom of this next weekend!!
That is until after I take pictures while dressed in cosplay 8D

It's okay, we still love you!

It appears Paradox heard our pleas, because the account is gone now.

    ~

On the information side of the movie, the Japanese Wiki was updated with a little BGM info:

    パラドックス1ターン目の未収録曲・・・マクロコスモス発動やヘルカイザーのグォレンダァのシーンなどで使 用されたBGM

    クリボー召喚~遊星の仲間たちの未収録曲・・・65話でゴーストを追って、遊星らがガレージが出るところ等 で使用されたBGM

Basically it specifies what the unreleased GX and 5D's BGMs are from the movie.

The first one specifies the BGM which plays during Paradox's first turn. This is the BGM which played during Macrocosmos(' activation?): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6suA5l2mKIM#t=6m32s

I can't make out the second one (Kuriboh's summon ~ Yusei and his companions), but apparently it's from episode 65 of 5D's.

Is that the same song played when Hell Kaiser beats Mad Dog Inukai in Episode 65? I love that BGM. Wish it was released. The second one is most likely gonna be on 5D's SD 3.

This is the time when I hope 4kids doesn't have any liberties with the OST in the movie. Anime second, this movie first. Being one of the first 3D anime movies, probably the first to have a wide release in America, I hope it does well being one of the first.

It'd actually be awesome to hear "A Powerful Threat," my name for that Macrocosmos theme, in the dubbed movie. It'd make up for never hearing it in the dubbed series, lol. I'm assuming they probably won't go with their own music for this movie, since, going by their later Pokmon movie dubs, they didn't change much of the BGM.

I should really get to finishing those rips, derp.

HAHA, looks like Paradox brought his sexy van and his bag of popcorn to the Three Yliaster Emperor's hideout and they had a little fun together reasing this idiot's very existence. Or he's just a coward.

Arynis, any news on if a new soundtrack will be released?

Paradox trolls the timelines to rid of blasphemies, after all XDD

I second the idea of keeping the BGM, I mean its no need, really. Unless they get cheap and recycle same music from the POL movie, which one of the BGMs from that was used in 5D's for the Earthbound Gods which actually went really well. I wonder if they'll do the same thing they have done with the first and 2nd Bleach movies and the live-action Death Note films where they show it in select theatres for a day or two. What they did with the DN movies is that one day it'd be the subtitled version and the other would be the dubbed but for only 1 showing each day. However, I'm sure they wouldn't do that if the entrance ticket comes with a promo card. It'll be Pokemon the First Movie all over again (kudos to anyone who remembers that time!)

I figure if this is the first 3D anime movie (for the states) it might bet a bigger than normal release for an anime movie.

True enough, it IS a 3D anime movie and all, straight to DVD would mean we'd get the cheap blue and red glasses if it doesn't hit cinema. So its dfeinite to hit the theatres, probably in select and not every cinema around. Though if its true that it will not have additional footage then it wouldn't last long and hopefully mean cheaper entrance. Also..never quite understood why the movie ticket promo had to be Sin REBD? I know the Red Eyes theme is a popular dragon theme but it wouldn't do that well in a Red Eyes deck. I'd understand more if it were Sin Stardust since its easy to bring out.

Perhaps they figured Melefic (Sin) Stardust needed to come here faster. So Jump was the best choice (I got it that way). Have there been other 3D anime movies in Japan? From reading the google translate of that interview, it sounded like they were talking about the 3D as being new. Or is that because most of the 3D movies we get here in the states doesn't make it to Japan?

Crowning Moment Of Awesome for meta!Paradox? XD

Going by what Ark said, the OSTs are released in the end of the year, so we probably won't hear anything of it until October. A double disc treatment containing the movie's BGMs would be really nice.

I believe the Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie was hyped as an anime movie which uses 3D technology, and how anime (in general) takes a new level this way. I think they may have meant how applying 3D technology to anime is new, considering 3D is mostly used with live action and CGI movies.

That's a great name for it, considering it's accompanied the Three Four Demons (Armityle included), Vennominon, Chimeratech Over Dragon, Clear Vice Dragon, etc. Though personally, my favourite unreleased BGM (besides Impossible Victory, of course) is the one from Ep. 158, when Meteor Dragon is summoned.

I would believe that too; and it most likely will also result in massive crowds. Especially is Sin Red-Eyes is the English Promo. Or, if they say, release Sin Cyber End and Sin Rainbow as TCG exclusives, like with PoL.

    @Arynis

So ordinary people might see it just for the 3D?

What source said there was no added footage, because I still trust Konami over them until I hear their name.

More accurately, it was Slifer The Sky Dragon stating in the SDCC thread that she heard it from reliable sources that the movie won't contain any added footage, after all. She also added she doesn't know who to believe -- NAS or a Konami rep.

Sorry if my direct address to Arynis and my split paragraph got confusing. I would trust Konami because they are bigger of a company and market the show while NAS only makes it. If Konami wanted additional footage, NAS doesn't have to be the one to make it, Konami in Japan can hire some other company to add footage.

Just for reference, NAS is credited for the work, while both TV Tokyo and NAS are credited for the production of the movie. (And well, Gallop for the animation.)

    I thought NAS = Studio Gallop? 0.0

I remember Konami was named during the Japanese trailer as the marketer, which makes sense because there is no NAS or TV Tokyo in America, so they would market it with 4kids in America.

Nope. NAS is an anime production and character merchandising company, owned by the advertising agency Asatsu-DK. Gallop is the animation studio.

And no, Konami wasn't named in either Japanese trailer. The first (teaser) trailer only had the typical Kazuki Takahashi / Studio Dice / NAS copyright.

Oh well, I guess it still works out. There is no NAS/TV Tokyo in America, so who would market it? 4kids? They aren't nearly big enough anymore to market a 3D movie. Konami is.

    ...I'm sorry

Cohen, regarding the Konami thing, I recall a liaison to the fans saying ages ago that Konami would be interested in bringing the movie abroad. So you might be right about that one...

Here's the exact line I had written in the Janime Wiki until I deleted it for the lack of actual sources:

According to the liaison to the fans, there is a genuine interest at US-Konami in bringing the movie to the masses.
