Of course it could. The anime is to advertise for the card game, which Konami has monopolized. Besides, Konami has a much better profit margin than 4Fail.

Oh, of course it would. But for them to take initiative on the movie like that could be a big image boost. Companies like big image boosts. Especially when they've got some sort of connection to a similar product with mixed sales results (ie the OCG and TCG).

Still no updates I'd figure Konami would add on the YGO world champ =/ Was hoping there'd be last minute additions or so. There might be some more things at the champ that haven't been said. I know that the World Champ '05, they had some stuff that wasn't on the site. And I saw Takashi himself there with others walking around his whole permiter (fanboys keep away!)

It is more of a time issue. The OST is set to the original time, which 4kids changes around due to broadcast. As I said before, if there was higher demand for DVDs, perhaps 4kids would have created an uncut version, or at least one with OST, and the opening/endings subbed. Perhaps OST will be kept more so now, Kirk hinted at that. Kinda like in Pokemon, several scenes kept cues from the OST in, while adding in their own music.

The reason it is in America is due to TCG beating out OCG sales literally every quarter. But still, why not in Miami? Miami International is bigger than LAX.

Dunno, I know Miami's international is bigger than LAX but every year its at a different location across the world. I think its the first time held at the Long Beach con, was at Anaheim in '05. The con center is reeaally nice too, smaller than the LA con center but its gorgeous with the small park to the side with a lake and right by the ocean side where one can see the Queen Mary. Anaheim con center was gorgeous as well, I guess they choose which ever is the most extravagant for people coming from across the globe, and all.

Not sure how much of the movie will be previewed, the official site says the preview showings go from 10AM to 12PM so I'll assume several intervals. However, as I mentioned before, usually sneak previews of movies in the U.S. mean limitted showings of the full film on a certain day or weekend so might be the whole movie.

As for chances..Ehh kinda depends if I get permission to record or atleast get in a few clips!

Btw, if you don't mind me veering completely off-topic of this subject, I just read chapter 1 and noticed something that reminded of the comment I saw someone make somewhere on this forum. It was about why Ushio made a comment to Yuugi about wearing a "costume" when he showed up at midnight. Yuugi's outfit had ankh shapes on the sleeves, and that's definitely not part of their school uniform. So, think that's just creative liberty on the part of the author or Yuugi has a jacket like that? Since we also saw this same jacket in the chapter with the director, it's not just some glitch in one chapter. Any idea what that's about, that jacket?

I think it might be an outfit evolution of some sort. For example, Pegasus had a pocket with a handkerchief in it on his suit in the first Duelist Kingdom chapters, but it vanished without explanation in later chapters. It's not on the bunkoban cover either, although the card Pegasus is holding is covering the spot where the pocket should be. On closer inspection, it looks possible the pocket isn't there at all.

Or even if he has the jacket, he doesn't seem to be using it in the later chapters. (One of the last times I can recall is the rematch with Shadi on the school roof, but my memory could be off here.)

Even if you're not allowed to record, you can still post the summary of the preview, even dialogue if you can remember them! Gonna cook up as much info as I can. Dang, gotta bring multiple memory cards for this orz

Yeah most likely we'll be back-ups for each other, switch around and such. Gonna aim to be there for the very first showing as I can imagine them having a little thing before the first showing, talking about the movie. Then straight afterwards would be the Q&A with Greg. The championship is for 2 days also (which is weird since its usually just 1 day..Really IS Yugicon!..Or Paradox-con) so I'll try to stick for both of the days, getting all info I can.

Now I'm sure someone that will represent 4Kids! and Konami will be there along with from NAS and TVTokyo. Perhaps can fish out the DVD release date for Japan if possible

I mean, maybe its why no release on the DVD and why it was all hush hush 'cause until after the dub movie is released THEN they put out the DVDs. So if there are representatives of NAS, Konami, and 4Kids! then we should be able to get as much info as possible off of the movie.

Well, I double-checked the Shaadi chapters to be sure, and as I thought, he didn't have this jacket then. The only time I can recall seeing it myself is in those two chapters I mentioned before. I haven't exactly re-read the manga many times, but I don't recall it from anywhere else. As for Pegasus, I have no idea, but maybe his handkerchief got dirty?
