Yeah, we really don't know where Cyber End Dragon came from. It depends completely on what time period Paradox decided to take it. It could easily be from Sho or Kaiser Ryo.

Or even Samejima. IIRC, didn't Ryo inherit it from Samejima in the Cyber Dojo?

Has anyone thought of the idea of Paradox Dueling for the card spirits? That would add a potential 3 duels to the movie, where it only had 2, 1 not being finished.

Very good point. Yes, he inherited it when he was very young, so it is a possibility (whose validity depends on whether or not Paradox would know that).

Parts of them, anyway. Yeah, against Johan, Hell Kaiser/Sho, Kaiba, Jonouchi... wait, that's 4. Better double-check your math Conen; but I like that idea.

I was thinking lately which the main english VAs will be, and it just passed my mind that Sugoroku doesn't have english VA anymore. Can you imgine 4KID'S taking LittleKuriboh to voice Yugi's grandpa? xD It'll be really paradoxical case. xD Well, either way it won't be that big deal cuz Sugoroku's screentime isn't that much....well...unless 4KID'S decide to lengthen the movie with 50 minutes as the rumours say.

LK lives in England. I don't think he would take a 6+ hour flight just to voice a character. However, 4kids does have a HQ in London, so it could happen. LK does a spot on Solomon Motou.

The idea of 4KID'S getting LK to voice a character sounds pretty paradoxically, but we'll see. xD Everything can be expected from 4KID'S.

True as that is, there's a difference between "can do something" and "will do something". It would be awesome if that were the case; but my guess is that after Pete Zarustica took over on Rex Godwin for Blaustein (God rest her soul), he'll be assigned that role as well.

There is no saying he will take over all of her roles. If anything, Rex was the least influenced by her voice, being she only voiced for about 14 episodes. Solomon Motou was voiced by her for over 100 episodes. And the voices are quite different. 4kids does have over 100 voice actors to chose from, but most of them we never hear because they never get the jobs (they can be heard in many NYAV Post dubs). With such a wide spectrum, anything can happen, but having someone out of region is very unlikely. Nice to see you understand that. It was a funny thing to think about though.

I can't actually imagine Pete Zarustica's voice mathcing Sugoroku's character, but we'll see. As Cohen said, there still is a wide spectrum of VAs to choose from - most of which are very unknown to us. It'll be good if 4KID'S choose VA whose voice is similar to the one of Tadashi Miyazawa. Sugoroku still must sound like a playful old man. xD

I think the most jarring example of voice actors living in the NYC area that 4kids has never used has to be the voice of Sarutobi Sasuke from Samurai Deeper Kyo.

I never said it was a certainty; I said it was a likely possibility, given that he was selected to take up one of her roles to begin with. And I do understand the purpose of using a VA from a region close to where you are versus in another country, more another continent. Still, I suppose only time will tell as to who the job will go to.

Well they finally updated the YGO TCG website about the World Championship and what they will have.

Q: What happens at the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2010?
A: This is the biggest Yu-Gi-Oh event of the year! 2-days of competition to crown new World Champions, Public Events, movie sneak previews, video games, and the voice of Yusei Fudo! Duelists from all over the globe will attend this event to experience all that the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2010 has to offer.

Q: What special activities will be available at the World Championship 2010?

    A:
    • Sneak Preview of the Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D Movie and Q&A and autograph sessions with the voice of Yusei: View a sneak preview of the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D movie. Showings will be from 10:00am – 12:00pm each day, and will be followed by a Question and Answer sessions with Greg Abbey, who is the voice of Yusei!

...I'm sorry but yup, I will DEFINITELY cosplay Yusei to this XD So, seems we get to ask him questions about the movie and the anime, nice! So, guess we should muster up some questions we may ask in regards of the 5D's dub along with the movie

**** (excuse my language) but they actually got Greg Abbey to fly down to Long Beach. He lives in NJ. Please Kyte get a picture with him and try and record him voicing Yusei. You know what, do whatever you can to keep us here entertained with cool info and shit like that. Really how did Konami out all this together? 4kids must be in on it. Either that or ever since Greg went to SJC Edison he has been in contact with Konami agents for stuff like this which 4kids wouldn't pay for. Because if Konami is paying for these things, there is no need to worry about financial stuff, Konami has it loaded just from the card game.

Yeah, I freaked too lol. I'll definitely ask him for a video record if maybe he can say a Synchro Summon chant, that would be really cool. His dub voice is starting to rub off on me, luckily the bad screaming seems to be gone now. Believe me Cohen, I will friggin dress up as Yusei and take the pics with him and with the D-Wheel and Stardust Dragon that are finally together under the same roof now. It's Yusei Land, dammit! *shot*

Oh, that D-Wheel that only has been in Japanese tournaments is going to be there too? I cannot wait for this live coverage Konami is giving. I am actually thinking Konami could release the movie on DVD since 4kids doesn't have financial ground to do so now. That would be awesome. Konami dealing with the financial stuff is much better than 4kids (9 Million to 2.117 Billion). I think it is safe to say if Konami deals with financial aspects of the movie, including getting union voice actors and having them record outsourced, we are in excellent hands for a release of this movie.

If I lived on the West Coast I would go there. Why could this not be in Miami? Miami International is bigger than LAX, right?

Well, one thing I can come up with is whether or not they'll be keeping the Japanese BGM/script for 5D's from now on, ala German dub, based on that podcast, and when dub!Season 2/3 is set to be on the air. Other than that, uh...maybe stuff about upcoming name changes, the BGM/script being used for the movie, VA casting for it (I doubt he'd know, but eh)...I dunno. If all else fails, get him to say some Abridged lines or that Synchro chant. XD

*is totally now gonna ask him to shout out 'Children's card games on motorcycles' after the recorded Synchro chant*

Though seems the showings will be in a seperate room which sorta kills chances of being able for me to record it or even a bit of it. Maybe what I can atleast do is record the sound. Also, correct me if I'm worng, but usually from what I understand about 'sneak previews' of movies, that usually means they show the whole movie ahead of time? I remember back as a kid they did that to several movies back in the day at local cinema.

IDK, I remember somewhere that 4kids doesn't like their actors to repeat lines from their shows using the voices. Perhaps it doesn't apply when it is lines from elsewhere (as seen when Wayne Greyson said "Kaiba sucks, Mexican rule" at a con on camera). I think it might have to do with no video recording, so don't get antsy if he isn't allowed on video voicing.

With Konami being the financial backing, I see no reason to use a different Sound Track for the movie Lance. I figure Konami is being so because they have been the only ones promoting the movie so far.

EDIT: Kyte, he already did that a few years back, as well as Dan Green saying some Abridged quote. (actually, he has yet to say that one)

Yeah, I did thought of that, too. Especially since if 4Kids is helping dish this out, they may not allow a video recording. And yeah I remember that lol LittleKuriboh asked him to say that abridged line as Tristan but doesn't seem he knew of the abridged since he was rather clueless by it. However, he hasn't been asked to say CGOM 'yet' *evil laugh* But if he can't, then its cool. Would've been cool if they gotten Jaden's and Dan Green to appear for the Q&A. But seeing as how only Greg is appearing, I have a feeling its Konami that got him there.

Also, I believe he DID appear on a DVD as himself, the 'Adventures on Voice Acting' DVD, being questioned about voice acting and the sessions and all that. I'll have to check that out seeing as I have the DVD.

EDIT: Found it. Darn thing cost me 25 bucks, glad I found it.

We need to make a questions for Greg Abbey thread. DO IT NAOW

Interesting though, I nearly crapped my pants with awesome! I find it weird that all 3 anime series are going to be shown. (99.999% it will be the dub) I guarantee there will be fist fights over which series is better. Too bad DM's dub is the only one I can probably sit through a few episodes of. None of GX, and 5D's dub has its moments...but who cares...I'll be on the other side of the damn country.

What the hell, Konami. You can use foreign cards with translations available--but not if they're from the OCG? Bull. It's not even a World Championship anymore, it's an everywhere-but-Asia Championship...

So, is it confirmed that someone will record the thing if recording is allowed? Or is Konami going to pull a Chao Lingshen and use Martian technology to block all photography and video recording? Only to put up their own recordings and reveal to the world the existence of magic...I mean Solid Vision?

I really need to stop reading Negima...

Yeah, its confirmed I'll be trying to see if I can record it. A friend of mine is also attending (hell even gonna match with me as Judai hee hee) so either one of us will try to get the best footage as we can and we'll snap plenty of pics with Greg, any goodies we see, and see about any hints for the future season in dub. The Tag Force 5 will probably be the same from Comic Con but if it has more I'll try to duel one of the trio and see their names and check out Duel transer. But to keep to this thread, definitely will get as much info as I can about the movie.

But yeah, so far plan to ask questions about if he knows info of the movie and the series' dub to the extent he can share. I'm sure there's a few things he can say of the matter.

Glad it won't be shown only once. The chances someone to make a record are increasing. x)
Wait a second - Greg Abbey = Frank Frankson = John Campbell (Oh Gosh, this guy has too many pseudonims for a voice actor)

I think Konami is using his real name.

We know him from 4KID'S as Frank Frankson. Now we learned for Greg Abbey. xD We're completely informed for his pseudonims. xD

Why did they cut the summon chants from the dub again?

Wait, oh my God. That's one of the most awesome things I've ever heard.

So what you are saying is we have no idea what his real name is?

I am sure he knows there were chants, voice actors of anime hear the original dialogue unedited before they voice. They do this so they and the director can get a ground on the meaning of the scene. Info from Adventures in Voice Acting.

We know his real name - John Campbell. Frank Frankson and Greg Abbey are pseudonims. Personally, I knew him as Frank Frankson, and supposed he'll dub Yusei, but when I saw the name "Greg Abbeyare" decided someone else is going to dub Yusei, so I checked and found out what his real name is. It's true he's famous VA (especially since he voiced Raphael from TMNT), but to find out that he has 2 other names seemed a little bit strange to me. That's all.

Frank Frankson (credit to Yusei) = Greg Abbey (credit to non-4kids shows and Tristan) = John Campbell (real name and credits to Yusei and Tristan)

Is that it? I remember Wayne Greyson saying when they recorded for TMNT, all 4 Turtles recorded in one room. So I imagine it was much easier for him to voice Ralphael as opposed to Yusei being prelay over post lay. Being a main character for an anime is nothing he has ever done before, so I imagine it must of been tough to adjust. Perhaps there is a question that will be asked. I hope Konami keeps a record of the Q&A for all of us to read.

Greatly appreciated. But why would he be using a psydonym with Konami? You know what, perhaps he could answer all of this LOL. No really, lets just leave this alone. And not ask questions regarding his psydonyms.

Some people have neuroses which cause actions they themselves cannot explain. Our friend here seems to compulsively use pseudonyms. Either that, or he's afraid Paradox will come after him.

Oh, most likely. Logically, it makes no sense; but if it's part of your public image, then it's worth doing.

He can say it all he wants but that doesn't really mean anything. Does he have the footage? If not then it's just empty words.

First, that guy is not subbing anything if he wants to be a Prismaweapon ripoff. There is no footage anyway. Second, I thought it was established that Konami/4kids would be subbing this. The preview over at WC2010 will be subtitled (as said by Slifer) and it will be a good portion of the movie, if not the whole thing. Might be dubbed as well. Seeing as Konami has been promoting the hell out of this movie, at Comic Con and now at the WC2010, I think it is safe to say they will be releasing the DVD, or at least provide financial backing for it. Subs come with that.

EDIT: Wow, this guy seems to have some subscribers who don't know he is stealing the subs from MephistoDP and ssj3. And he said he is uploading the movie today. I want to see what his subscribers say when he doesn't deliver.

Yeah, basically what everyone before me said. There has never been any footage available, save for clips from promotional material, which may or may not have dialogue/music from the movie. The preview at the World Championship is the first time there will be a part of the actual movie unveiled for the International audience. Were there any footage of the movie outside said event, we would have known via 2CH or Nintendo World BBS.

That guy is just trying to get attention.

    What an *******.

    I said something:

People, don't listen to this guy. There's no way he's going to upload the movie, because it hasn't even been released to DVD yet and no one even knows when it will. He's just looking for some popularity. But believe me, as someone who owns almost all the current boxsets, I can say for certain this movie won't be released any time soon. Don't get your hopes up for nothing.
He will probably delete the comment though, but hopefully a few people will see it and spread the word.

Definitely fake, I mean unless the guy himself or he knows a private contact that was able to get the footage of the entire movie which is highly doubtful.

Oh I actually didn't know the preview at the WC will be a subbed one? Okay if that's the case I'll have to definitely record the visual and not just the audio if it were in English dub. I mean, who knows right? Could be one or the other. And it seems the preview and the anime-viewing will be in the same room and convention center rooms like that are usually rather big. Chance of being able to record footage would be really good (would be great if the full thing or more than 15 minutes but if I get the full thing, I'll need someone else who has the program to split into 15 minute cuts since its a Quicktime video file). And I'll also try to record the Q&A with Greg Abbey.

Lawl, he replied to you that he recorded it from Japan. Yeeeeah. Like we're going to believe that, ever. (Especially after that whole Pokemon movie incident.)

The dude claiming he has problems uploading is hilarious, though. *grabs popcorn*

LOL, he blocked me, so I couldn't even comment if I felt the need to. You know when you get blocked the person wanted to make sure you wouldn't spoil anything. GoldenUmi, your comment is still there, I guess he wanted to respond to it for clarification.

I saw it, nice mouth lol. I knew it had to be someone from here because it was basically my post.

EDIT: Remember how someone mentioned Step It Up 3D? Well, I have heard it has awesome 3D, better than TLA. With much less of a budget. Does anyone know how the 3D in this movie is?

Most likely CGI and hand gestures (such as launching hand forward for activation or attack or drawing a card) and whatever debris or explosions or blasts. Also, I can see the Field Spell Sin World being 3D, what with those small stars around and the colors.

I am going to have to see Step Up 3D, my favorite reviewers said the 3D was amazing LOL. But if that can succeed, why not a 3D anime?
