From an older post on here, I think it was contract issues for whatever reason. And ADK just decided to cut the contract. And because the main VA can't get paid royalties the show can't be shown overseas (It is somehow able to have reruns in Japan). And it seems it was done as early as 2004 as this was cited as why we lost the DM Uncut DVDs by 4kids reps in Q&As this year.

No clue why.

C) Won't becauase they're a corporation driven by demand for the new and thus have no time for the old, which is also why they rushed into dubbing 5D's with GX still unfinished.

True, GX did kinda suffer from bad ratings; but the ratings thing was partly their fault. Had they not felt the need to spoof themselves to hell with Season 3, the ratings might have been better. Besides, even if you skip Season 4, finishing Season 3 is fine for an ender. What's one more episode? They only aired one Episode on the day of 155, when they normally aired two. Besides, the original premise of C) is correct; they are driven by the new, as modern culture dictates. New shows as the time demands, if you will.

DM gets high ratings too. I think GX never really had wacky enough characters to drive them in. Either that, or they were too confusing to keep up with. BUt come when the movie, the idea of it being of 3 series, one most kids watching would have no idea about, they will be drawn in. Perhaps 4kids would even advertise which theaters are showing it.

Kids are attracted to comedy when it's actually funny. GX's satirized dub spends so much time poking fun at itself that it loses its funniness after a few jokes. If instead they had, say, poured their hearts into making a cast and script of superlative proportions, that would get their attention for being so cool. Don't believe me? It's actually both, based on the situation. Some scenes that should be way out in left field are made some straight-laced than they should be, and some normal scenes are stretched out of proportion. Basically, GX has the same problem with sanity that AVP:R had with lighting; they used the wrong kund at the wrong time.

Which makes you wonder why the footage was outtaken from the film in the first place. I suppose until we know what said footage is, that isn't clear. If it's just shots that were deemed not as high-quality animation, it was to get better reviews. If ot's plot-related, it was likely to prevent spoilers. If it was executive meddling, well... that speak for itself. Anything I missed?

Next year's February, the Yu-Gi-Oh! movie will get a revival screening!
With the movie screening all over the world, people from various countries will get to enjoy themselves~ That's what I [think/believe].
