"The Duel Monsters creator ordered the erasure?"
"The forbidden Duel World, "Sin" World."

Scene, Stardust Dragon in someone's hand (probably paradox) and watch as the white card (most likely stardust) turns from white into black (stone- NOT dark synchro)
A scene where a building collapses like in the Zero-Reverse incident (5Ds)
    The "creator" ordering the destruction...

Then it shows the main 3 in like epic poses and has a wierd like SEIZURE worthy background... (like neo space?)

"The three heroes bound by the bonds of fate"

I have to admit that I have mixed feelings about all this.
I calmed down when I saw this plot refers only to the OVA, not to the MOVIE. ( This means we're gonna see 2 different story lines, both connected to the 10th Anniversary event, and let's hope both to be as interesting as we expect. )
I was also glad when I wrote about the participation of Takahiro Kagami. He has really amazing work about some DM episodes and the 2003 yugioh japanese calandars. The art is really amazing.
On the other hand, I have to say that this story doesn't sound so dull as I thought at first time.
I don't know...I'm not sure for anything....at least not untill I see this OVA, or its preview.

The 'OVA' shown at the Jump Fiesta was, more or less, a trailer for the movie. They're one in the same.

Also, brb biasland, but oh god why am I getting "the basic plot for this was what GX's fourth season was suppose to be, had it gone for 50+ episodes lol!" vibes from this? What with killing Pegasus to nullify the ~*~card-oriented darkness of man~*~ and then going off into a magical world made of emo suffering and/or sin?

It's not like they haven't done something similar before, what with that bit in the DM reprints about GX's second season originally being drafted up as a movie plot.

Edit: Also, hurr, just the fact that they're seemingly bringing back Darkness' "WELL, YOU SEE, FIRST THERE WAS A CARD..."

So much for my fervent clinging to the notion of 'well, he was being metaphorical..!'8|

I decided to just translate the blog entry since so many people are interested in it. This is just the first part, I'll translate more as I do it:

    *JSAT 2009!!

So, without further ado, I went to the Jump Super Anime Tour! I wrote down a whole lot about the Yu-Gi-Oh! footage. I'll be touching on the movie trailer as well, but since you'll have to highlight that part, only those who want to read it should.

    *

"Yu-Gi-Oh" had a clipshow last week, but the anime tour had a clipshow of its own, lol. It was sort of a series introduction video based around 5D's. They cut and pasted scenes from episode 64 while the characters talked.

At the scene where Yusei, Jack and Crow are admiring the Neo Daedalus Bridge, Crow said, "Looks like saved this city!" Yusei even said something about "Accel Synchro," lol. And when the twins and Aki are sitting with each other at the cafe, they start recapping legendary duelists other than Yusei and the others for some reason, lol.

Twins: "Who could it be? Who could it be? First is this person!"

Oh, wow! They're using the twins' long-absent "What could it be?" this way!?

In the introduction movie detailed below, the twins and Aki-san narrate while they introduce the series' protagonists and their rivals.

    Yugi Mutou

They focus on clips from Battle City. I think there was even scene that boomed (?) in a certain area was shown briefly, lol.
In the scene against Kaiba (Obelisk) in the Battle City Semi-Finals,
Kaiba: "The one who will rule at the apex of the Gods will be youuu!!"
His voice really got hoarse at this point...lol. They didn't have to bother with that scene, you know!

And against Dark Malik (Ra) in the Battle City Finals, the twins touched on the "Sangenshin," the Three Mythic Gods.

"He fought for his own memories." "He fought to reclaim his other heart," and such, the twins talked a lot about why Yugi and Dark Yugi were fighting. To a level to it's like, "How would they know?" lol. They tell us, "By winning Battle City, he became the first Duel King." And the title of King would continue from here on, wouldn't it? Most definitely.

    Judai Yuki
Since Aki-san tells us something like, "An alumni of Duel Academia and our sempai," come to think of it, I knew she would, lol. After footage of Judai, there was a little footage of Manjoume in his cool "Ichi, juu, hyaku, sen, Manjoume Thunder!" scene, but are they dropping to us that he'll make an appearance?

After his duel with Misawa and Kaiser (Graduation Duel) from season one, we get the Yubel fight, which makes you say, "You're bringing that part up?" Jumping a little far ahead, aren't we? lol Introducing her as "Judai's greatest and most evil rival" is a little severe, don't you think?

Yubel: "And after I loved you so much!"
Judai: "Make Yubel and my hearts one!"

Don't bring up this scene...! lol. Well, you see, they may be scenes that are absolutely vital to Judai's character, but I'm guessing people seeing it for the first time will have no idea what's going on...lol. One of the twins says, "(Judai) fused with Yubel and gained the power to control spirits"...announced inhumanely, without hesitation. Oh well, he's got Yubel's eyes, so he'll be invincible, after all, lol.

    Yusei Fudo
They give us a record of familiar Yusei battles, focused on Yusei vs Jack from episode 26.
Rua: "There it is! A Synchro Summon!"
Aki: "They duel by turning speed into Magic."
...'Turning speed into such and such' is such a nostalgic phrase, huh? lol
The next recap is of episode 64 against Buffwin!
Buffwin: "Why? Didn't the Crimson Dragon choose the Godlike figure that is me!?"
    Yusei: "No! It chose bonds!"
Yay! Congratulations on your screen debut, Buffwin!
But, by extracting just that one scene, it seems as though Godwin was just a bad guy all around...And shirtless, lol.
Aki sums up by saying, "Yusei will continue to protect this city"...and follows by saying, "I sure would like to see Yusei, Yugi-san and Judai-san all the same place!" and then, addressed to the people who have been waiting for it,
Twins: "We have special footage for people just like that ready! Enjoy!"
(The 64 Version of the "What could it be" closing pose! The twins are so cute!)

....And, with that, I saw every bit of the trailer to "Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Movie ~Super Fusion! Bonds that Transcend Time~" as well. Below is what I wrote to the best of my memory of what happened in the trailer!! For those who don't want to see unneeded information from a jerk with faint recollection or who don't want spoilers from some jerk before the movie comes out, I ask of you to turn away. So, highlight and go!

Agreed. I've always used the dub names for DM, but for GX and 5Ds, I don't *unless it's for videos*.

As for the new information, I can't wait to see what comes of this trailer the guy saw. The story seems interesting already, I want to know more and, if any of the main character's friends show up.

The rest because, like a dumbshit, I did everything in one tab and subsequently exited the tab without c/p'ing all the work I did, is essentially describing scenes from the movie trailer.

Those hook lines and Stardust's card turning from white to black/fossilizing like I had already mentioned go without saying. Stardust will destroy the world and whatnot and buildings start crumbling like in Zero Reverse, etc. They showed Pegasus when mentioning "creator."

There were some scenes that flashed by with BGM playing in the background at the end. They included the three protagonists confronting someone; Yusei and Judai conversing in a city (possibly Neo Domino?); and Paradox holding a card in his nice-looking hands and riding a D-Wheel.

Everything else is just the blogger's own impressions as he thinks that Momentum might play a part in Paradox's time-traveling shenanigans, etc.

Whoa, I'll agree the original is definately better, but I don't think people should be attacked for using dub names. That's a very juvenile thing to do.

For me that most ppl use the DUB names for GX specially when it was worse than DM. Is that its MANGA is great but ppl read the official version WHICH USES THE DUB ANIME NAMES for the most part.

And ppl I think we are really getting off topic with this GX names stuff.

Soo lets continue about the OVA Anniversary movie.

More specifically and interesting I think is, what the VAs will be for Judai, Yugi and Dark Yugi.

Well, some people may just be used to Jaden than Judai. If you watch the english dub first you just get used to it. The names in japanese are foreign, thus making it difficult to keep up with whose who, when watching the Japanese verson second.

One of my questions is: What part in time are they going to rip Yugi from the series? In the end of GX Winged Kuriboh just warped Juudai into a time era that the writers just made up for that certain battle. Am I right? "Battle City 2" is what that paper said that Juudai picked up. :/ Time also froze for Yugi and Juudai(maybe some time paradox stuffs) people going crazy over seeing Juudai. If it was after you know Ceremonial Battle, Atem went back ect.. Plenty of time to grab Little Yugi you could say, and In my opinion be better than Atem(Yami) appearing again. Cause you may get to see some character development within Yugi, how he and his deck has grown. - Alright I've talked enuff..

Relax, I'm not really "attacking" people for doing it, but in my opinion if you are going to use a set of names you should use either all dub or all sub. It just seems so out of place.

But whatever, I guess I have been misunderstood as someone throwing around "juvenile insults".

I started using the english dub names at first, but then I slowly changed over to using the Japanese names. There is no reason why people can't use the names most comfortable with. Give people the choice to choose which ever names they want to use... If someone wants to say "Judai and Chazz" in the same sentence, I understand how that can become annoying to people. But we shouldn't criticize what names people use.

I first used dub names, because it was the first thing I saw, but then I saw the Japanese version and I thinked the Jap names were really cool and better than the dub names, so I started to name the characters in their japanese names, but it wasn't easy, I had trouble with the name Otogi and whats Chazz Jap name? Majoume? xD I really didn't watched GX just read that was his name, so...

Oh and the Big 5 names are out of my list of characters I call them for their Japanese names xD

So, its the names that you are more confortable with, but yeah, the people that had watched the the original version will be annoyed, because after seen the original version first you would think the dub names are silly, and I after seen the original version can understand that.

The only dub names I know are for DM. I only know a few GX ones like Jaden and Alexa. As for 5D's, the only one I know is Leo and Luna, which I actually don't mind for the twins.

For the names there is a pretty logical explanation there.

The ppl that use the dub names specially for GX are usually native English speakers.

For everyone else English is almost/sometimes as foreign as Japanese. So there.
I'm a BG I should know how it is ;P.

And of course there is the factor about with dub version you saw first. And was more overworked thanks to the official English magna of GX.
And of course the laziness/easier factor in the writhing, pronouncing, Joey instead of Jounochi for example.
Both these factors concern mostly the native English speakers, cuz its more convenient and its what they have become used to in the first place so its really hard to change that habit specially when both factors are in power.

Well there is an example like Chazz(DAMN thats a stupid name) and Jun Manjoume/Manjyome which ppl are not comfortable with both names. So there XD.

And Jaden/Judai which not only have the same number of letters but are also very close to pronouncing/writhing compared to... CHAZZ, Bastion.

And again we are getting off topic... HARD.

I'm a BG I should know how it is ;P.

And of course there is the factor about with dub version you saw first. And was more overworked thanks to the official English magna of GX.

Yeah we are off topic a bit. But it doesn't hurt to talk about other stuff too. I didn't expect to being writing about the english dub names and Japanese ones, it just sort of happened.

n e way, lets get back to the OVA/movie.
What cards are you guys expecting for the main characters to use? Maybe new cards, maybe some old classics, any thoughts?

I personally would like to see yugi's deck when he dueled atem. The deck with the gadgets and silent magicians/warriors. I think that deck is more exciting than the dark magician based deck. Though i am hoping to see dark magician in Yugi's deck still.
For Jaden, we're most likely going to see neo spacians rather than e heroes. But i'm hoping he will use Yubel.
As for Yusei, were definitely going to see stardust, but i think using Stardust savior dragon would be overkill on Paradox. I would like to see if Yusei uses Accel Synchro in this. There's bound to be a riding duel.
Greetings to all and have a merry duel.

Well, I think we'll probably see Yami Yugi's deck over Little Yugi's.

I'd like to see some of the minor, but my faves, make appearances like Archfiend of Gilford, Card Trooper, and Quick Synchron.

Totally agree, let's see some fave card appearances! And every first official movie should have cameos of nearly everyone in the series, even for a few minutes of screen time (Pyramid of Light doesn't count 'cause stuff from 4Kids is never official >_>)

So, let's see the main characters' friends and rivals! They don't all have to do some dueling but seeing them on screen is good as it is. Knowing the usual YGO, Paradox loses the grand duel and turns all monster like and everyone summons their best monsters to fight against it.

I pray to be a riding duel with the 3 of them vs Paradox. It would be perfect. xD

It's be nice to see Judai use any of following cards: Neos Wiseman, God Neos, Alius Neos, Supervis (w/ Alius), Wrath of Neos, Berserker Crush and Miracle Contact (promo?). With Yugi/Atemu, I'd like to see Chimera (and hopefully TCG will be able to get Berfomet and Chimera soon) and Dark Renewal (promo?). With Yusei, maybe SD/AM.

POL was made by NAS, and it had no cameos. Yeah, 4kids pushed it to be made, but NAS made the story and video.

It had a cameo from everyone from Battle City, minus of course Malik and co. You just have to be paying attention.

BUT, let's take into account two things.

1.) 4kids isn't the one directing here nor are they coming up with the plot. Albeit it was changed in the Japanese version, but that's besides the point.

2.) This is meant as an anniversary for all series, unlike the other random movie. There is a much greater chance we will see many cameos, even if some of them only appear as a quick shot or even by name or flashback. As long as the "main" ones are shown from all three, it'll be good enough for me. (Meaning the main heroes and main rivals)

Pyramid of Light was backed by Takahashi, Konami, NAS, ect., ect.

It may not be "canon", but it's definately an official Yu-Gi-Oh Movie. The TOEI one was as well.

I assume this guy everyone is fangasming over is the original VA for Yami Yugi?

I'm guessing this Paradox person is the confirmed bad guy, right?

From the looks of that screenshot, it may end up being a 3-on-1 duel. It's just a guess, but it's hard to say since I couldn't quite see what they were looking at in the background.

I think so and wouldn't blame them since the Duel Terminal's Yugi is..bored-sounding. And on the page, it says that Judai's VA is also KENN so he's back, I believe.

First screenshot: kinda looks like GX animation. Judai looks too Judai lol
Second screenshot: 3 on 1 duel in what looks like the square in Domino City. I think in the direction thay're staring has some yellow and purple to it. Either Jack is charging an ATLAS PUNCH or its Paradox.

Lulz that Yugi and Judai will probably know each other (unless they discount GX's finale) and Yusei will be clueless.

So there you have it. The first screen shot from the actual movie. What do you guys think on the animation? Referring to the shot with Yusei and Judai.

Either GX animation or the most common animation we usually see in 5D's (ex. 5D's 2nd OP)

Can't say much about the animation from two screenshots...considering there is no actual animation, lol.

But from the first screenshot, both Yusei and Judai look well-drawn. No dis-proportional eyes or weird faces, or any of that kind of sort. So that's a plus. I Can't tell that well, but Yusei's shoulder-bubbles seem kinda small to me. They're usually rounder.

The second screen gives a sexy perspective shot, which is a good sign. (And I assume that's Paradox they're looking at? Where are they anyway? Looks like a mix between Neo Domino and that barren version of Domino from GX 179-180)

    Is it sad I got all that from 2 pictures? .___.;
