Either way this is nice. Can't wait to hear more info on the plot for this thing.

Darn, and here I was expecting a more Takahashi-ish story. Now that I'm seeing this "cards created universe" thing, Idk...

I kinda liked the more "down-to-Earth" plots like Duelist Kingdom where Pegasus just wanted control over KC or where Kaiba wanted revenge on Yugi. Now it looks like we're getting Darkness's blond wingman cousin who gets all the chicks while he's left in the dark and his mumbo jumbo of universe created cards and what have you. Ah well, I still wanna see Yugi again for nostalgia sake, so I can roll with it I guess.

so what i miss?

I just got a completely random idea for how they might "combine" all 3 heroes and series for this movie. If Paradox is supposed to (I'm guessing) be the ultimate master of time and space or something like that, what if he's able to be in all 3 timelines at once? Therefore, he would be dueling Yugi, Judai, and Yusei respectively, all at once. He splits himself in 3 or something, goes to all the different eras where they existed, and duels them all at the same time. The main characters aren't necessarily teaming up, but they're all fighting the same enemy.

That, or maybe there will be some kind of "gate" or whatever. One of the main characters will actually be fighting Paradox, but through the power of aforementioned "gate", the other 2 will be able to engage in the duel as well (kinda like the gate that Johan dueled Ryo through, where only cards can actually go through, but not people).

Again, these are just my speculations, but I think that either of them could apply, and personally, I'd like the movie better if it did something like this as opposed to all 3 protagonists just magically appearing together. But I'll just have to wait and see.

Everyone want to see the 3 protagonists fighting side by side, together against Paradox.
But let's just wait the translation...There're too many things we can't understand.
I'm tired of that constant presuming all the time.

Well, debuting together could mean a few things. It could mean that they will actually be together, as you mentioned, or it could mean that they're coming together in one movie, even if they're not actually together in the movie. I don't doubt that people preferably want the former, but I'd much prefer a more realistic way for them to join.

(Realistic? What am I saying? Card games solve all the world's problems in Yugioh.)

Anyway....everything can be expected untill we have the necessary information about the story of this movie...which doesn't seem to happen very soon. XD

The film's plot seems very interesting ! So, Paradox believes if he destroys the past, the present and the future will saves ? Paradox believes to prevent the world's destruction is his mission ?

I wonder if paradox will go to egypt instead of domino but now that I think about it why isnt dartz in this movie since in the NAS anime duel monsters originated from atlantis

It's very simple actually. Think of it this way: You have a bomb capable of destroying the entire world. You destroy the entire world. Therefore, by destroying the world in the past, you save it from its destruction in the future.

Huh, so its like 'the world is dying because of humans so they should cease to exist' kind of thing but instead the cards? Well, yeah, theres teenagers to full-grown adults playing a children's card games but wouldn't say its destroying the world (unless D-Wheels are causing pollution XD).

Hm, so Paradox wants to destroy the past, putting the future out of its misery. So, he comes first into the 5D's genre? That sounds interesting..fights Yusei, perhaps escapes on his D-Wheel and Yusei follows him and goes in some sort of portal and lands into the GX age. Yusei and Judai meet, find Paradox and duel then perhaps Paradox realizes that to destroy the past, he must go to where the game was at its highest during the Duel King age, thus going to DM's age as Judai and Yusei follow pursuit.

That..sounds pretty interesting. Starting off with the current series, then take a step backwards onto the previous, then fully into the original series. Y'know, I wouldn't mind if they make the manga version of this movie. Then Kazuki can put all-out since a movie is pretty much limitted to time and such.

5D as a driver story? I say at Stardust, which put him like a god. If the argument focuses on 5D will be a complete shit

It seems to me that the film will focus on Yusei and Yugi and Judai will be mere companions, with less emphasis

Mmkay, the initial post was taken from a blog from a friend's friend of mine. She saw the Jump Anime Tour trailer and transcribed what she saw and tries to make sense of the random bits of footage she saw.

From the best of my knowledge, these are lines from the trailer:

"Stardust gets stolen."
"Stardust will destroy the world."
"Orders to kill the creator of Duel Monsters"
"The Forbidden Duel World, 'Sin World'"

Among scattered pieces of other footage here and there, they show Yugi transforming into Dark Yugi, Stardust's card turning black (maybe into a tablet,) etc. I haven't had a chance to skim past all of it, but that's about all I've read so far.

This doesn't logically make sense.

Time works in a strange way. VERY strange. Think of it as this:

You are walking down a path. In your eyes, you are walking in a straight line. However, in reality you are walking around a giant loop. Time itself is a massive infinite circle, but we can only see in front of us and in back of us. Anything above us is the future and anything below is the past.

Time travel, though not proven by science to be possible and also not proven to be completely impossible, works by basically "bending" the loop, so you jump from point A to point C without ever making contact with point B. I know this is YGO we are talking about and all, so bare with me, but if you destroyed the world in the past, the future would cease to exist. Vice versa, if you destroyed the world in the future, the past would also cease to exist, because the future and the past are technically connected by an invisible force within this "time loop"

Interesting. I was hoping Pegasus would play a part in all this, being the creator and whatnot. I like that they are returning to Egyptian history again and working the 5D's verse in with it all. Maybe we will see a connection between the Nazca history and the Egyptian history.

Maybe we will see the Millennium Items as well. I'm still hoping for cameos from many other characters.

I wonder who's behind paradox like with the light of destrction and darkness I mean a turbo duelest who hates the game he plays is kinda weird,and why does he need stardust you would think he would also need E-Hero neos and dark magician, but i'm also wondering what point in time will he be in judai's timeline pre-acadamey or after

If that's the main parts of the story of the movie....ahm....I would say, it's totally wrong Stardust to be the most important monster. This, for me, would mean that the movie will be mostly Yusei and Paradox centered, and that's not right. What about the God cards??? I don't want to see just a little hints of Yugi/Dark Yugi and Judai in this movie! I want to see the 3 of them working together! I want to see partnership, not solo performances!
Still hope the people making this movie won't make such mistake.

The video apparently starts off with Aki and the Twins narrating basically an "overview" footage of each of the main charas:

Yami Yugi: Showcase v. Marik "fight for own memories, heart of another, what it means to be "duel king"."

Jaden: Shows Kaiser vs. Bastion (after graduation) then like Yubel "I love Jaden!" Jaden: "Yubel's soul's in me!" and like he does the freaky eye thing

Yusei: showcase v. Jack (episode 26) also, episode 64, the trio v. GODwin, Goodwin says "why did the crimson dragon choose you! It should've chosen me to become God!" Yusei: "No! It chose the bonds of friendship!"

Then comes the title: Yugioh 10th: bonds across time and space

But then the actual trailer starts with the Director, and then it's like Yugi turning into yami...

"Stolen Stardust dragon?"
"Stardust Dragon will destroy the world?"
"The Duel Monsters creator ordered the erasure?"
"The forbidden Duel World, "Sin" World."

Scene, Stardust Dragon in someone's hand (probably paradox) and watch as the white card (most likely stardust) turns from white into black (stone- NOT dark synchro)

There's a D-wheel shown after Paradox, so it's still safe to assume it's a riding duel (ha i'm gonna laugh if they pull an Aki and pile the 3 on Yusei's D-wheel. XD )

So Pegasus is going to be in the movie? Damn. Yes. An order to kill him though? Interesting... Although that'd make his kill count 3, since he's dead in the manga and Reshef of Destruction. He sure has it rough.

If the "destroy the past to prevent the future" part is true, I could see Paradox killing Pegasus in the past, before he gets to go to Egypt to create Duel Monsters. He was responsible for the creation of the card game, after all. Which, in turn, shaped everyone's lives. But the root of everything is in Egypt, so... *shrugs*

Then I thought of Cyndia coming back later and try getting revenge on Paradox, but then I remembered she would die of her illness either way...orz ;_;

Forbidden Duel World "Sin World" sounds pretty interesting. For some reason, it makes me think of a timeline where there is no Duel Monsters, and everything is solved by different darker means. Or maybe it's a timeline where Duel Monsters turned out differently? But if Pegasus is killed... Someone else could always create it, though. (Of course, Pegasus could be killed at a different time, but if it is for preventing Duel Monsters from existing, I see little point of it. Unless Paradox would enjoy breaking him or something. "You are responsible for bringing everyone into despair!", etc...)

Just a quick question: why the hell do people always use dub names for GX and Japanese names for the others?

Anyway, the trailer seems interesting. Too bad I can't see it myself. :/

Because the GX dub names are by far the worst, and people take sadistic pleasure in repeating them? Dub-le standards.

Even though it's extremely likely that this Pegasus assassination attempt will fail, I would be extremely pleased if Pegsy can finally rest in peace in the anime.

Hmm, for me it's the opposite. Duel Monsters is the one series I use the dub names for, but I guess that's because I watched the DM Dub for years and still haven't watched the entire raw outside of some Battle City episodes/final episodes.

I started with GX and 5D's with the raw, so I'm more use to their raw names.

As for the dub name thing, I used them for GX until I got into the Japanese episodes. Same for DM, and since 5D's was the first of the three series I watched in Japanese from the start, it goes without saying I always use their Japanese names. XD

I think it's somewhat similar to the Doctor Who (Ninth Doctor) episode 'Father's Day', in that, something happens in the past which shouldn't have, which means that past must be destroyed in order to prevent the destruction of the future from that past, which would be the present from the companion's point of view. As it happens, this was also solvable by the event which determined the original future still occurring, if under slightly different circumstances... Essentially, what they could be getting at is that a change in the past causes a paradox, since the change prevents the change from happening.
