The picture can certainly seem deceiving if resized, but from these full size ones it's clear it's not his eye, it's blacked out undernath his hair.

To be honest, we don't know anything about Janime and the Animation Book, I asked her in the V-Jump thread and I got no reply as of yet. I was just agreeing with Lia that it might be a possibility it was being scanned. It wasn't my intention to brush your offer off or anything.

Considering Yugi has a Duel Disk and everything, we can safely say this is post Duelist Kingdom Pegasus with an empty eye socket. It also ties in with what we know of his eye socket from the anime (PoL and GX come to mind).

As for the supposed 'raw' the footage is real but the audio's definitely fake, it sounds like someone was trying to imitate what they heard because there's a lot of stuttering... It's a shame, but I guess we'll just have to deal with it and wait for the DVD after all. :c
