Here you can see the real size of these "pics" :p - http://movapic.com/khz/pic/1009682 Too bad they aren't completely 10th anniversary centered, but anyway - that wasn't much on the theme. :p
I read somewhere these days that the movie's DVD is expected to air in the summer. I don't know if that's true, but just to mention. :p

Heh, those tapestries are pretty huge.

Is that so? I skimmed through the 2chan thread, and I found no such evidence (although I have yet to catch up with the Newwise thread).

On a movie related note, the movie is the fourth on the TOHO website's ranking list. And a correction, I claimed there were no schedules given on TOHO's page for the movie, but it's actually at the bottom, presumably sorted by regions. The schedule calendar goes as far as 26th of March, although schedules are given up to the 5th of February. Whether this means they are actually going to show the movie in cinemas for that long, or they are just planning to is something I don't know about... But keeping the movie for two months in the cinemas sounds normal to me.

That's why I said I read it somewhere, cuz I don't remember where exactly I saw this info. Anyway, if it's not confirmed in one of the official websites for the movie, I don't accept it for a complete truth, so......we'll wait some info to appear on BBC NewWise, 2CHAN or YGO10TH.COM.

Oh, that's really cool! Some people and their ability to record high quality videos... XD

It's great to watch them in high quality, though. It really makes a huge difference compared to Keyhole's quality, hahah.

Indeed it does. It also played during Ene! when the VAs were making their comments. It makes me wonder if that song is actually included in the movie. If it is, I could easily see it being played when the three protagonists deal the final blow to Paradox.

Speaking of which, what do you think of the movie's soundtrack being released? Would they go Pyramid of Light on us (for which they released the movie only BGM on Sound Duel 4) or make an individual OST for it? Granted, it used songs from the other series which were already released on their corresponding series' Sound Duels, but what would happen to those few unique songs? Would they really prepare an OST anyway and re-release the songs we already have?

I'd say these songs are movie only songs (lawl, excuse the awful titles XD):

    Burning City
    Paradox's Theme(?)
    Stardust Dragon Stolen!
    Paradox To The Past!
Our Bond Over Time and Space! (Possible victory song?)

I hope they make there own OST for the movie, since this movie was a massive hit.

I so want Paradoxs Theme and the Victory Theme.

Wait... Paradox's theme is something we can add to the great things about Paradox Shrine -puts the sound track next to a strand of paradox's hair- ^^

    EDIT:
I uploaded the movie premiere video off the 10th Anniversary website onto youtube if people want to watch it instead of waiting for it to load.
(might just have been me but it was taking forever to completly load)

To be honest, I have no idea if that would be his actual theme, it just sounded like a song an antagonist would have, bringing the impending doom on the timeline.

    Haha, Paradox Shrine. XD

On Pixiv, it seems like another person drew what appears to be Paradox's Dark Marik!face: (Source)

Maybe it's just me, but he looks much creepier than Dark Marik here.

    Spoiler: Here's PARADOOOOX

And in the movie Paradox uses a Sin Cyber End he doesn't even use a dragon that Manjyome used. So no mention no tribute to Manjyome what so ever. What a shame.

But he generally doesn't register among Kaiba and Jack at all. And it's not a coincidence that Paradox robs Cyber End Dragon instead of any Manjyome's monster. But anyway, this isn't on the subject at all.

Well maybe he went after Cyber-End because of it's history with the Cyber-style dojo. Anyways, Manjyome has the ego and skills while Kaiser was the aloof part that was Kaiba but maybe Manjyome wasn't considered was because he proboly defeated Paradox so he didn't get any of Manjyome's ace monsters because of that.

Ok, it's a matter of taste and interpretation........but that was off topic, so......

I doubt we'll get a movie specific OST, as the movie seems to also reuse many old themes, but I expect that the movie tracks will be tossed into 5D's sound duel 3 along with the other various season 2/3 tracks. At least I hope anyway.

Only because someone drew it from memory, lol. It looks more awkward than anything here, but I expect he is in motion and speaking while making the face, similar to Dark Malik. But if his expressions actually do surpass Dark Malik, I'll give him a round of applause.

Paradox seems more crazy than Marik. About the movie's OST, maybe it will be realease in Sound Duel 3.

Hmm, so they would go Pyramid of Light on us, after all? I suppose we'll see.

And I just realized that the 3D screen the movie was viewed on must have been pretty huge... now imagine that face on it. Way to provide (High Octane?) Nightmare Fuel for the entire theater. XD

Bah nobody will ever replace Mariks lolfaces
Also, if they add movie tracks, they will have to make it a double-disc feature again, or else they will push too much else away...again

If they don't make it double-disc again, the fans might not be able to accept it. We've been spoiled, lol.

It appears that the Judai vs Paradox fight does take place in Venice, Italy at St. Mark's Basilica. This is also the location where Yusei and Judai meet (as in that "ruined rooftop scene"). And Judai was actually running on the roof in the AxA videos, not a bridge.

    Movie screenshots:

Spoiler: Various images of various sizes

Now compare with the photos of the Basilica:

    Spoiler: HUGE images!

And I used to think it was Pegasus' mansion... Haha. XD

Wow identical for sure! Question is, what was Judai and Paradox doing there, I wonder?

Judai: Hmm I wonder if Italy is filled with Chronos-sensei? I must go see!

Paradox: I shall ravage Venice, Italy! Olive Garden pissed me off by not giving me sufficient amount of chocolate-mints..I SHALL HAVE MY REVENGE!

    Hahahaha, that quote! XD

I recall the summaries saying how Judai heard someone was on a rampage in the city (stealing cards or wrecking the place) and he went to check it out. The question is, why was Paradox in Italy in the first place? It could be possible that a Pro League was hosted there, so he tracked Sho down and took Cyber End that way?

Judai looking for Paradox would explain why it is Judai explaining Yusei what's going on with Paradox. ("Yusei goes through a time slip and reaches Judai Yuki, one capable of using the power of Card Spirits. Yusei then learns the truth behind the incident. That truth being...")

Judai looking for Paradox would explain why it is Judai explaining Yusei what's going on with Paradox.
Could be, though was looking at the wiki on that area and do see quite a bit on Roman things so perhaps Johan went there and its where Paradox snatches Rainbow Dragon I guess?

    Ooh, good point!

Perhaps Johan wanted to find more about the Gem Beasts and their origins, so he went to Italy with Pegasus tagging along with him? That would explain how Paradox gets Rainbow Dragon as well and gets the whole "Pegasus dies in an accident" business.

Yeah, that really does make sense, does also mention on the wiki that the Romans brought several things to Venice. Who knows, maybe a tournament is held there where even Sho attends and if Pegasus is there I'm sure he thought may as well show Johan around. Or heck, maybe thats the same place where Johan got his Gem Beasts in the first place, just can't remember the interior of that time to compare with that place's interiors.

Mainly at Amazon.co.jp. I've sent you a PM with the images and the info, in order not to make anymore off topics. ^_^ But read the second message. I messed up the first one. :p

So it's not really confirmed whether the movie is going to be on DVD during the summer, right?

That's right, no details are known at this point. Everything else at the moment is just expectations/speculations. There were no mentions of the DVD release on Newwise BBS or 2chan so far.

Although usually DVD releases can take from 3 months (not sure about this one) to 6 months to 9 months (Like Lagann-hen).

*snerk* Nice one. ;p And thanks! To be fair, I wouldn't have investigated it if it weren't for people joking about "Judai being in Italy" in the chat I'm in.

I found a blog describing the contents of the 10th Anniversary Animation Book: http://akizora122.blog102.fc2.com/blog-entry-668.html

Spoiler: Contents of the blog - saving space

It seems to contain a discount ticket for the movie. The contents of the book in a nutshell:

"The construction of this book is movie introduction, DM introduction, GX introduction, 5D's introduction, a theater staff interview, 3 main character interview and Takahashi Kazuki-sensei interview."

The poster didn't check the movie related section of the book because they didn't intend to spoil themselves. They finished the blog by saying they would like a collection of Takahashi's paintings next.

That sounds good! With the film being so popular as you have said, it wouldn't surprise me if they did keep showing it for two months. I hope sure they do; I am going to be in Japan from 18th - 25th March this year for a manga tour and it would mean I would be able to go and see it!

As for the Basilica being where Paradox fights Judai, well spotted! I hope they explain what these two are doing there in the first place. The theories being discussed here regarding this are very plausible and it would be cool if some of them turned out to be true.

An article about the January 23 stage greeting of the movie.

And according to several news articles (as well as Anime News Network), the movie finished 6th place on the first week in the box office and it earned over a million dollars. See the box office details here.

I have had the Animation Art book in-hand for a couple of days now. The Art Book contains a two sided folded poster, brief movie contents (nearly all the pics in it have been seen online already), recap images of each series...original, GX, and 5D's (5D's images and updates go as far as Crashtown), and interviews/images/info on voice actors from movie. The 'movie ticket' thingy is on a flap wrapped around the dust cover and would have to be cut out if used. There's also another cut out thingy on the back of that same flap that may be used for something...can't read what it's for, but images of autographed art are beside it so maybe something to do with those. The entire book is full color, lots of great images from ALL the series and movie, but I am a bit disappointed that there isn't any really new movie images beyond what we've seen posted in the various forum threads here. Still though, a great resource to recap each series and lots of good images of various characters both major and minor in each series.

Thank you for the summary on the Animation Book! The blog I linked a few posts ago mentioned that autographed art. It is referring to Takahashi's paintings which both were used as V-Jump covers.

Pity about the movie images. The interviews sound very nice, however. Especially if the movie interview in question is not the one posted on the official site. That would rock!

Thank you very much for describing the content of the Animation Book. Too bad really that there aren't much more new pics from the movie. Anyway, the content still seems very intriguing. ^_^

The movie is up only for a week and it already takes the major places in Top 10 of the Japanese Box Office. Definitely, very good news. ^_^

Draago, if it's not a problem for you, would you like to scan the 2 sided poster and the pics from the movie that we haven't seen yet (if there are any, of course). I'll be much appreciated if you do so. ^_^
