Mistake, or let's call it omission, is that the Egyptian Gods weren't shown. I know Stardust Dragon's """awesomeness""" would've been upstaged in this case, but it's still really big shame.

If Yugi managed to summon all three Egyptian Gods (or Hell, just 1, Ra), Judai and Yusei's role and presence in the movie would literally be superfluous. It would've just been a DM Yugi movie. They couldn't have that.

Although that would be a rather interesting match up, seeing as how while Yugi's monsters are stronger, the sheer speed Paradox can summon monsters that are just as strong, and stronger than the Sangenshin in terms of attack would've made things difficult for Yugi. Obelisk is great, but if Paradox can bring out a 4000 beat stick on turn one that can just suicide into it and then have ANOTHER 4000 right afterwards...

Yeah. Paradox's deck is just ridiculous.

Also, make sure you can PLAY the DVD/Blu-Ray before buying. The DVD should play on a computer if you have VLC, regardless of it being Region 2. Not too sure on Blu-rays, as my computer doesn't have one. But definately support the official release, especially one of the few times we get one with dual-audio.

Well, I don't undestand much of dueling, but I guess Obelisk's 2 monsters tribute effect could've helped a big deal in this case......nah, forget. xD
Anyway, I wanted Sangenshin to be included for the simple reason that they are 3 huge, trully divine beasts, especially design-wise. It wasn't necessarily for them to be summoned during the duel. They could've appeared for different reason and again to look gorgeous, especially if animated with the same precision like Stardust and all Sin dragons were. I wanted to feel the thrill by seeing them in action. That was my thought x)
Although, I know very well that there must've been some major (but not impossible) changes in the movie's plot and duratation for this to happen, but still....dreams are free of charge, now, aren't they?....xD

In watching the newspaper article, Sergio's pendant seen in Crashtown is present, there is an article about it. I'm wondering what It is say about this. I guess the article about Pegasus's death describe the event but I'm wondering how It interpret Paradox's presence, beyond the fact this an unknown who seems happy of Pegasus's death.

Personally, despite how short it was, I believe enough focus was placed on all three in the very short time the match went on for. Do I think a bit too much focus went to Yusei? Hell yeah. I love the 5D's gang, so I had no problem with the execution and telling the story from Yusei's point of view. I just wish they would have also shown the GX cast and the DM cast behind Yugi and Judai as well. They didn't have to have their VAs return if that was a problem. Just a large group shot behind the other two would have enough to suffice.

It WOULD have been great if the gods were played, but let's face it. Neos and Stardust, hell even SHOOTING STAR DRAGON or QUASAR SHOOTING DRAGON would be shit against those gods. LOL, but that's just how much stronger Yugi is than anyone else, as good as Yusei and Judai are. They'd stand no chance again him.

So if those two great ass-pulling Duelists stand no chance, imagine what Yuma would be like up against Yusei.

It isn't that, it is just that it is much easier to rip the audio, perhaps to use it for something else. Or just make it dialogue only.

You can use either XviD4PSP 5 (avoid 6) or Handbrake. Those are the programs I use for encoding.
I recently used Handbrake to rip the episodes from the lastest Fairy Tail DVD I got from ADC and it works perfectly. (It also does chapters lol!!)

I was almost certain it was, exactly how would they figure to sell a 50 minute movie to over 300 theaters? Simple, add 10 more minutes and make it an hour movie that theaters can charge half their regular 3D rates for (the theater I went to charged 7 bucks, while 3d is usually 14 to 15).

I have the DVD, not the BD. Encoding DVDs is hard enough for me, but BDs I can't touch, lol.

Oh, and yeah, like GU said, there were only two unreleased GX BGMs in the movie: the first when the tower in Venice falls (the ominous one), and the second during Paradox's first turn. I look forward to him getting these separated, especially so I can touch up my rip for the latter, lol. (It might also help to get Judai's Theme, too, since it sounded like it got some touching-up.)

While I like the GX Passionate Duelists, I think all of us can agree it sucks compared to the original.

But unfortunately, I am not NEARLY skilled enough to be able to do something like that with the current technology I have. If I could, you would see absolutely flawless unreleased soundtracks.

HOWEVER, Mafio in my forum was talking about a good way to rip 6.0 audio using a specific program he mentioned. If we can actually find a program to tear apart these tracks - audio, dialogue, background fx - I would gladly work on a project like this for free.

When Paradox attacks, I can think of no other better track for them to use but "Wrath of God." How would that theme just NOT work there, especially with it playing while Yugi cries on his knees, and Paradox laughing maniacally at his victory.

And finally, when the heroes all say goodbye to each other, and Yusei goes back to his own time, I think it'd be awesome if they played the DM theme "Connected Hearts." It suits the theme and message there perfectly.

Those are some good suggestions. I'll definitely take note.

Lance and I talked and we are seriously going to consider this, if I can find a program that will do what I need.

I may even make two versions to try out different variations of tracks, if the first is successful.

Agree with the GX!Passionate Duelists thing. I liked it in GX 180, and I like it in general, but it felt out-of-place during Yugi's turn, lol. My idea would be to have the Duel-Disk-activation scene with the GX one and use the DM one for Yugi's turn. I also agree with Mako about "Wicked Grudge" for Paradox's first turn, but the one that played fit pretty well, too.

For other scenes, "Terror" or "Power of Darkness" from GX SD2 might work for when Judai's staring Paradox down after Yusei time-jumps ("Sad Duel" could also work), and I'd also ditch "Supressed Thought" while Yusei and Judai are on the roof for "Mystery of the Duel," "Tranquility," or "Agonizing Heart." Maybe "Jealousy" from SD2 for the flashback during the trio's rooftop meeting, and "Courage to Confront" for the "Let's duel, Paradox!" scene (maybe also "Wrath of Justice" to lead into it over Paradox's flashback). And I'd definitely throw in more DM stuff while they're in Yugi's era.

"Battle City" would play right at the start of the cut to Yugi's time period and all.

Then with the appearance of Paradox, it'd be silent.

At 13:19, "Wrath of God" would play. It fits the attack so damn well.

And of course, "Wicked Spirit" would play right at the activation of Sin World.

"Connected Hearts" would play at 44:20, where Yami Yugi is looking down at all the happy people and then would end until the credits role.

I don't remember "Mystery of the Duel" or "Agonizing Heart." Or "Jealousy." What sound duel are they from, or could you link me? My GX memory of some tracks is a bit fuzzy.

And yeah, Wicked Spirit is awesome. Love that one.

EDIT: And looking at Wicked Spirit, I'd actually play it at 21:10, the minute Paradox lays Sin World on the field spell card. The music synchs better with the card's animation effect and everything. It'd need to loop just a little bit to match the length of the scene to where Yusei begins talking and all, but yeah. That's one of my favs.

So, by taking out Placido's Fusion, that opens up a ton of room. I'm thinking of using "Battle of the Gods" from DM SD3 at some point during that. If there's room after the minute or so long "Wicked Spirit", I was thinking "Awakening of Darkness" could fit in that scene as well.

I'm definitely starting the movie off with "The Mystery of the Millenium Kingdom" from DM SD2. And when Paradox Summons Sin Paradox Dragon, I'll be using "Millennium Power" from SD2.

Was also liking the idea someone mentioned of using "Duel of Friendship" to replace "Bonds of the Three"
